START-/CONTACTSLOT

De sleutel kan in 3 standen worden ge-

draaid fig. 17:

❒

OFF: motor uit, sleutel uitneembaar,

stuurslot ingeschakeld. Enkele elektri-

sche installaties werken (bijv. autora-

dio, elektrische ruitbediening enz.).

❒

ON: contact aan. Alle elektrische in-

stallaties werken.

❒

START: motor starten.

Het contactslot is voorzien van een her-

startbeveiliging. Als de motor bij de eer-

ste poging niet aanslaat, moet u de sleu-

tel terugdraaien in stand OFF en nogmaals

starten.

Als het start-/contactslot is

geforceerd (bijv. bij een po-

ging tot diefstal) moet u, voordat u

weer met de auto gaat rijden, de wer-

king van het slot laten controleren bij

een Fiat-dealer.

ATTENTIE

Neem altijd de sleutel uit het

contactslot als de auto

wordt verlaten, om onvoorzichtig ge-

bruik van de bedieningsknoppen te

voorkomen. Vergeet niet de handrem

aan te trekken. Schakel de eerste ver-

snelling in als de auto op een helling

omhoog staat en de achteruit bij een

helling omlaag (gezien vanuit de rij-

richting) (stand P met automatische

versnellingsbak). Laat kinderen nooit

alleen achter in de auto.

ATTENTIE

STUURSLOT

Inschakelen

Het stuurslot schakelt na 5 seconden in,

nadat de sleutel uit het contactslot is ge-

nomen na het uitzetten van de motor.

Uitschakelen

Het stuurslot schakelt uit als de contact-

sleutel in het contactslot wordt gestoken.

BELANGRIJK Als u de motor uitzet als de

auto nog rijdt, wordt het stuurslot niet in-

geschakeld en verschijnt op het multifunc-

tionele display het betreffende bericht (zie

het hoofdstuk “Lampjes en Berichten”).

BELANGRIJK Als na een poging het in-

strumentenpaneel in te schakelen en/of de

motor te starten, op het display het be-

richt “Laat beveiliging auto controleren”

verschijnt, moet de handeling herhaald

worden en het stuur heen en weer wor-

den bewogen, zodat het stuurslot makke-

lijker ontgrendelt. De weergave van het

bericht op het display heeft geen invloed

op de werking van het stuurslot.

BELANGRIJK Als de auto in beweging is

mag de elektronische sleutel niet uit het

contactslot worden genomen; hierdoor

bent u er verzekerd van dat het stuurslot

is uitgeschakeld als de auto in beweging is

(bijvoorbeeld bij het slepen van de auto).
