Automatische wisserregeling
Schakelaarstanden:
of MIST: werking door
omhoog te draaien;
OFF: stop;
AUTO: automatische werking;
— of LO: lage snelheid;
= of HI: hoge snelheid.
Automatische ruitenwisserregeling
Als de wisserhendel in de stand AUTO
staat, detecteert de regensensor de
hoeveelheid regenval op de ruit en
worden de wissers automatisch in- of
uitgeschakeld (uit, interval/lage
snelheid/hoge snelheid).
Gevoeligheid regensensor
aanpassen
De gevoeligheid van de regensensor
kan worden aangepast door de
schakelaar op de wisserhendel te
draaien.
Draai schakelaar 1 vanaf de
middenpositie (normaal) fig. 21 omlaag
voor een hogere gevoeligheid (+)
(snellere reactie) of omlaag voor minder
gevoeligheid (-) (tragere reactie).
In de volgende gevallen kunnen de
wissers automatisch gaan bewegen als
de ruitenwisserhendel op AUTO is
geplaatst en het contact wordt
ingeschakeld:
als de ruit boven de regensensor
wordt aangeraakt of afgeveegd met een
doek;
Als de ruit wordt geraakt met een
hand of ander voorwerp van binnen of
buiten het voertuig.
Als de automatische ruitenwisserhendel
van OFF op AUTO wordt gezet tijdens
het rijden, dan worden de ruitenwissers
eenmaal geactiveerd waarna ze gaan
werken in overeenstemming met de
regenval.
De automatische wisserregeling werkt
mogelijk niet als de
regensensortemperatuur ongeveer
–10°C of lager of ongeveer 85°C of
hoger is.
Als de ruit is behandeld met een
waterafstotend middel kan het zijn dat
de regensensor niet in staat is de
hoeveelheid regen correct waar te
nemen waardoor de automatische
wisserregeling niet goed werkt.
Indien vuil of ander materiaal (zoals ijs of
stoffen met zout water) zich aan de ruit
heeft gehecht boven de regensensor of
als de ruit met ijs is bedekt, kan dit
ertoe leiden dat de wissers automatisch
gaan werken.
Als de ruitenwissers het ijst, vuil of
ander materiaal niet kunnen verwijderen
stopt de automatische wisserwerking.
Stel in dit geval de wisserhendel in op
de lage stand of hoge stand voor
handmatige werking of verwijder het ijs,
vuil of andere materiaal met de hand
om de automatische werking te
herstellen.
BELANGRIJK Aangezien zwaar ijs en
sneeuw de ruitenwissers kunnen
blokkeren, wordt de wissermotor
beschermd tegen defecten,
oververhitting en brand door een
stroomonderbreker. Het mechanisme
stopt de werking van de wissers
automatisch gedurende ongeveer
5 minuten. Als dit optreedt, schakelt u
de ruitenwisserhendel uit, parkeert u de
auto en verwijdert u sneeuw en ijs.
Schakel de hendel na 5 minuten weer
in en de wissers zouden weer normaal
moeten werken. Als de wissers niet
werken, neemt u zo snel mogelijk
contact op met het Fiat Servicenetwerk.
Rijd naar de zijkant van de weg en
parkeer naast de weg. Wacht totdat het
opklaart voordat u verder rijdt met
defecte ruitenwissers.
