b) Switch position Auto
The appliance plug socket is live.
Before turning the switch to the Auto
position, ensure that the tool
connected to the appliance plug socket
is switched off.
The switch position and the suction hose
diameter must correspond.
The cleaner motor starts only when the tool
connected to the appliance plug socket is
switched on.
2.4 Suction force regulator (1.8)
The suction force regulator can be used to vary
the suction capacity. This permits a precise
adaptation to different substances to be picked
up.
2.5 Connecting an electric tool
Observe the maximum connected load
on the appliance plug socket (see
Technical Data)!
Connect the electric tool to the appliance plug
socket (1.7).
Make sure that the electric tool is switched off
when plugging it in and unplugging it.
3 Changing the filter
During the following procedure, take care not
to raise dust more than is unavoidable.
Wear a P2 breathing protection mask
with health-hazardous dusts!
If you are disposing of asbestos, wear additio-
nal disposable clothing.
3.1 Changing the filter bag
- Open locking clips (1.3), remove top section
(1.1),
- Remove the clamping ring (3.4)
- Close the plastic bag around the filter bag
using cable ties
- Pull the filter bag sleeve (3.2) off the inlet
fitting (3.1)
- Close the filter bag sleeve with lid (3.5)
- Remove the filter bag (3.3); close the
pressure compensation opening with the
adhesive tab
- Dispose of the used filter bag in accordance
with statutory requirements,
- Insert filter bag as per instructions (see print
on filter bag). Important: Push filter bag
collar (3.2) onto intake fitting (3.1) with some
force.
3.2 Changing the filter element
Do not operate machine without a filter
element. This may damage the motor.
- Open locking clips (1.3), remove top section
(1.1) and set down with the filter element
facing up (Fig. 2).
- Detach filter clamping collar (2.1) with
accompanying tool and remove together
with the filter clamping washer (2.3)
- Pull a filter protection bag over the filter
element (2.2).
- Remove filter element and close the filter
protection bag with a knot.
- Dispose of the used filter element in a sealed,
dust-tight bag in accordance with statutory
requirements,
- Insert a new filter element.
- Place filter washer in position and tighten filter
clamping nut.
- Replace top section, close locking clips.
4 Application
Before commencing work, check the flow rate
monitor: Hold the suction hose closed while
the motor is running - after approx. 10 sec-
onds, an acoustic warning signal should sound.
Tools and accessories can be set down on the
storage area (1.9) ready to hand.
A hose holder can be inserted in the holes
(1.10) on the left and right of the handle and
at the back of the storage area. With the hose
holder, the suction hose can be linked up to
the tool from above. Two filter bags can be
stored in the cassette (1.5).
4.1 Vacuuming dry materials
Before using the vacuum cleaner to
evacuate dry substances, a filter bag
must always be inserted in the
container. Then the evacuated material
can be disposed of easily.
A filter bag must be used without
exception when evacuating noxious
substances!
The filter element becomes damp after
evacuating liquids. A damp filter element suffers
more wear and tear if it is used for dry
materials. Accordingly, the filter element should
be dried or replaced with a dry one before dry
operation.
4.2 Vacuuming liquids
The filter bag has to be removed before
evacuating liquids.
We recommend use of a special wet filter.
Do not evacuate combustible liquids!
If foam or liquid escapes, stop work immedi-
ately and empty the dirt container.
