When extracting large quantities of oak
or beech wood dust or dust that exceeds
the permitted limit values, only extract from a
single machine (electric or air tool).
Risk of explosion and fire hazard: Also ob
serve any other restrictions relating to dust
with an ignition energy of less than 1 mJ
specified by the labour authorities. Do not
extract sparks or hot dust, flammable or
explosive fluids (e.g. petrol, thinner), ag
gressive fluids/solids (e.g. acid, leach, sol
vent). This mobile dust extractor is suitable
for extracting paint dust.
Do not damage the mains power cable (e.g.
by driving over, dragging, etc.). Protect
from heat, oil and sharp edges. Do not pull
the plug from the socket by the cable.
Check the plug and the cable regularly and
have them replaced by an authorised serv
ice workshop should either become dam
aged. Always replace the mains power ca
ble with the type specified in the spare
parts list.
Do not expose the machine to rain.
For reasons of safety, never operate the
machine from an unearthed socket.
Always use the machine socket for the pur
pose specified in the manual.
Always use original Festool accessories.
Pull the plug from the socket when the ma
chine is not in use and prior to mainte
nance and cleaning work.
Attention! To avoid electrostatic charging
do not clean the device with a dry cloth.
Use an antistatic cloth or damp cloth.
Design 22 dust extractors are suitable for
connecting to machines in Zone 22. Care
must be taken to ensure that no sources of
ignition are extracted. Conductive machine
components, including extractor hoods,
and conductive parts on machines from
protection class II must be electrostatically
earthed. The electrostatic earthing can be
routed through the dust extractor or estab
lished using separate electrostatic earthing
equipment.
Risk of explosion: Keep the
socket on the appliance closed in zone 22
at all times and do not use it there.
Incorporate the device in your explosion
prevention or fire prevention documenta
tion.
In the event of a fire immediately discon
nect the machine from the power supply
and introduce measures according to fire
regulations.
Do not lift or transport using a crane hook
or lifting gear!
The device may only be operated if all fil
ters are present and undamaged, including
the filter for the motor cooling air.
Do not insert and remove the plug under
load.
In an emergency (e.g. short circuit or other
electrical faults occur), switch off the ma
chine and pull out the mains plug.
This machine must not be used by people
who might have a particularly adverse re
action to an electric shock (e.g. people with
cardiac pacemakers), because the possi
bility of the machine building up a static
charge cannot be excluded.
Pay attention to the work environment and
watch out for your own safety and the
safety of others when transporting or
working with the machine.
In this way, you can for example prevent
tripping hazards caused by the suction
hose or mains cable.
Use only the original Festool suction hose.
Keep packaging film away from children.
There is a risk of suffocation.
