  • I have a Ferrex cordless telescopic hedge trimmer model FS-ATHS 2041.The blades appear to be jammed, they will not budge but the unit issues a high pitched noise. I was in the middle of cutting a hedge when it just stopped working. It was purchased from Aldi within the guarantee period but I am unable to find the receipt (I can supply the branch and date of purchase if that is any help).

    • You probably have a piece of material caught between the blades. It can be a very small bit, but jammed between the blades prevents the blades from moving past each other. Check every tooth, and use a screwdriver or another tool to remove any jammed material. Answered on 23-12-2021 at 21:23
