- My little hedhe trimmer failed in the first few hours and I never got back to fixing it, in my case its a special screw I need to make. But in answer to your question, most appliances with rechargeables, instruct you to keep the battery contacts cleaned and and I have found a smear of oil will help, IF your trouble is the battery connection.
