SERIAL NUMBER
The serial number on the machine consists of the fol-
lowing elements.

CAREFULLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BE-
FORE YOU USE THE PERCUSSION DRILL!
1. SPECIAL SAFETY RULES
BEFORE OPERATING THE MACHINE:
1. Check the following:
-do the voltage of the machine correspond with the
mains voltage
-are the mains lead and the mains plug in a good con-
dition.
2. Do not use extension cables which are too
long. Use extension cables with a core diameter of
1,75 mm2minimal and only when the cable is rolled
out completely.
3.
In case of a blockage, switch of the machine immediately.
4.
Always compare the maximum rotation speed of accesoi-
res with the maximum speed of the percussion drill.
5. Never attach de chuck key with a rope to the percus-
sion drill.
6. Pull the mainsplug from the socket before you change
a drill or accessory.
WHEN OPERATING THE MACHINE:
1. Check if the switch is placed in the ‘OFF’-position be-
fore you connect the machine to mains.
2. Keep the mains cable away from moving parts of the
machine.
3. First switch off the machine before you move the ma-
chine downwards along your body.
4. Never cover the ventilationslots.
IMMEDIATELY SWITCH OFF THE MACHINE
IN CASE OF:
1. Excessive sparking of the brushes and verticiliosis in
the collector.
2. Malfunction of the mainsplug, -socket or damaged ca-
bles.
3. Broken switch.
4. Smoke or smell caused by scorched insulation.
2. BEFORE OPERATING
THE MACHINE
1. Use only sharp drills of the following types:
Concrete/masonry
Hard metal
Metal HSS
Wood HSS
MOUNTING ACCESSORIES
Prior to mounting an accessory always unplug the tool.
Placing and removing bits
In addition to bits the machine can also hold screw bits
with a hexagonal shaft.
• On the collarscrew the drill chuck open.
• Place the shaft of the bit in the opening of the drill
chuck.
• Tighten the drill chuck until the click point has been
reached. The bit is now in fixed in the drill chuck.
• To change a bit, unscrew the drill chuck open again.
• Slide the sidegrip over the drillhead.
•Slide the measuring rod in the sidegrip and tighten the
