6. Press the saw head downwards in such a way that
the motor is not overloaded and the saw blade is
not jammed.
7. If you are going to remove jammed material, first
allow the saw blade to come to a standstill. Switch
off the saw and remove the plug from the power
point.
8. After finishing the sawing process, hold the saw
head downwards, release the switch and wait until
all the moving parts have come to a halt, before you
move your hands away from the machine.
MOTOR
In order to prevent damage to the motor,
chips and dust must regularly be removed
from it, in order to ensure an ideal cooling.
1. Connect the machine to a 220/230V circuit.
2. If the motor does not start, the switch must be rele-
ased immediately. Remove the plug from the power
point. Check whether the saw blade can move free-
ly. If the saw blade moves freely, start the machine
again.
3. If the motor suddenly stops during sawing, the
switch must be released immediately. Release the
saw blade from the workpiece, after which sawing
can be continued.
4. When using long cables with too small a diameter, a
loss of voltage occurs, which gives problems with
the motor.
- By a length of cable up to 15 meters, a diameter of
1.5 mm
2
must be used.
- By a length of cable from 15 to 40 meters, a dia-
meter of 2.5 mm
2
must be used.

4. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the
voltage on the rating plate.
The machine has double insulation in accor-
dance with EN61029; an earth wire is therefo-
re not necessary.
Replacing cables or plugs
Immediately throw away old cables or plugs when they
have been replaced by new ones. It is dangerous to
insert the plug of a loose cable in the wall outlet.
Only use approved cables or plugs.
Using extension cables
Only use an approved extension cable suitable for the
power input of the machine. The minimum conductor
size is 1.5 mm
2
. When using a cable reel always unwind
the reel completely.

7. FITTING AND INSTALLATION
Prior to mounting an accessory always unplug
the tool.
Securing the mitre saw to a base.
Secure the mitre saw to a workbench or solid ground
before putting it into use. There are four holes in the
footplate of the mitre saw intended for this purpose.
Mounting the clamp and extension pieces.
Use the clamp (supplied) for securing the workpiece in
place. The clamp can be placed in any one of the holes
(8) on the left or right side of the footplate.
The purpose of the extension pieces (6) is to support
the workpiece across a larger width than the base
width. The extension pieces (6) should be placed in the
holes on the left and right sides of the base. The exten-
sion pieces (6) can be secured to the underside of the
base using an Allen screw.
Assembly of the dust bag (12) or dust extractor.
Use the dust extraction bag to collect all the dust emis-
