2. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Explanation of symbols
In this operator's guide the following symbols are used:
CE Conforms with the relevant European safety standards.
Class II machine – Double insulation – You don’t need any earthed plug.
Risk of injury or damage in the event of failure to comply with the instructions
in this User's Manual.
Read the instructions.
Always switch off the machine, remove the plug from the socket and wait until
the cutter blade has stopped turning before cleaning the machine or carrying
out maintenance or repairs.
Always wear safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and heavy-duty
work clothing!
Do not use the machine in wet weather.
The rotating cutter blade will not stop immediately the machine is switched off.
Keep your body clear of sharp parts.
Remove the plug from the socket immediately if the plug or power cord are
damaged.
Keep at a safe distance.
Defective and/or scrapped electrical or electronic tools should be handed in to
a recognized collection point for reprocessing.
Special safety precautions
Warning! When using electric equipment due heed must always be paid to the local pre-
vailing safety precautions so as to minimize the risk of electric shock, injury or fire. Read
the following safety instructions and the enclosed safety precautions thoroughly before
using the machine, and save them for future reference!
• Make sure that the machine is assembled correctly before using it.
