Replacing cables or plugs
Immediately throw away old cables or plugs when
they have been replaced by new ones. It is
dangerous to insert the plug of a loose cable in the
wall outlet.
Remove the battery block when the power tool is
not being used and prior to maintenance.
The tool is suitable for use as a screwdriver and
drill. Any other application is specifically excluded.
3. MOUNTING ACCESSORIES
Prior to mounting an accessory always
remove the battery.
Inserting and removing bits
Fig. B
In addition to screwdriver bits with a hexagonal
shaft, this tool can also accommodate drill bits with
a hexagonal shaft.
The bits can easily be placed directly into the bit
holder or on the extension bit holder. The
extension bit holder can be used for screws that
are difficult to reach.
Bit holder selection (9)
Fig. B
With this slider it is possible to push one of the two
bit holders forward while simultaneously retracting
the other. Moving the slider downwards will push
out the lower bit holder. Moving the slider upwards
will push out the upper bit holder. Make sure the
slider is pushed fully to its outer position before
use.
If the bit holder selection knob (9) won’t
move any further, try pressing the on/off
switch (8) shortly while changing
positions.
With this system it will be easy to change quickly
between two different screw bits. Supplied are
short custom made drill bits. These drill bits are
designed especially for pre-drilling. When using
one of these bits together with a screw bit, it is
possible to change quickly from pre-drilling to
screw driving.
The custom made drill bits will have an active
length of 18mm. In forward position optimal length
will be reached.
In retracted position, the drill bit will stick out 5mm.
In some cases this can be problematic. It’s
recommended to remove the drill bit in such a
case.
After drilling holes, the custom made
drill bits can get stuck in the drilled
material. It is recommended to retract
the short drills out of the wood while
keeping On/off switch pressed. When
the drill bits are rotating, chance of the
drill bit getting stuck will be smaller.
When one bit holder is selected, the
other is retracted for 12 mm.
Connecting and removing the battery
Fig. C
Ensure that the exterior of the battery
block or tool is clean and dry before
connecting the charger.
Ensure that the direction reversing switch (5,
Fig. A) is in the central position in order to
prevent the appliance from being switched on
unexpectedly.
Insert the battery (7) into the base of the
appliance, as shown on the illustration. Push
the battery until it latches in.
Press the locking buttons (6) on both sides
before removing the battery, and disengage the
battery from the base of the appliance.
4. OPERATION
Always follow the safety notes and the
relevant safety code.
Hold the appliance firmly and press the drill
steadily onto the workpiece. Do not overload the
appliance. Only use drills with no visible wear.
Worn drills will have a bad effect on the functioning
of the appliance.
Adjusting the speed
Fig. D
The appliance has two drill speeds.
For slow drilling or for driving or removing
screws, set the speed selection switch (3) to ‘1’.
