Secure Removing of the Hard Drive
The QB-35U31R is a USB hard drive enclosure and fromt the vantage point of
manyoperatingsystemsaremovabledisk.Pleaseexecute“SafeHardwareRemoval”
or“unmount”beforeturningofftheenclosureorpullingofthedatacable.Nor-
mallythis“unmounting”isdoneautomaticallybyshuttingdownyourPC,Notebook,
NAS,Router,MediaplayerorMac-Device.In a Standby-Mode, Energy-Saving-Mode,
“Quickstart-Standby” etc. a removable disk might not be “safely removed” and
disconnectingthedatacableleadstodataloss–evenifyouthinkyoursystemis
“off”.WerecommendtouncoupleUSBdrivesfromtheactivelesystemwiththe
neccessarycare.ThismeansbeforeyoushutdownyourPC–ifyouwanttodiscon-
nect the cable.
