therefore may not be used in a lying, leaning, hanging or standing position! The
wall on which the device is hung has to be firm, flat and perfectly vertical and
made from non-inflammable material that cannot melt. It has to be at least 20 cm
away from side walls and the bottom has to be at least 180 cm.
The heater has to preferably (and definitely in damp rooms) be positioned at and
permanently connected to an electric socket. This connection may only be made
by a qualified electrician and, for that reason, is not described here.
In this booklet, for reasons of safety, use with a plug should be assumed; when
there is a permanent connection, any passages about the plug do not apply.
Drill 2 holes (7 mm.) in the wall at the selected spot: horizontal to one another with
a distance of 18,7 cm. Insert plugs into the holes and insert screws into the plugs
(included). Leave the screws protruding by 5 mm. Hook the heater using the
suspension eyes over the screws, slide it as far as possible to the left and pull the
heater downwards.
Attach the heater using the materials supplied (see
diagram). Place the bracket on top of the heater with
the short side against the wall. Mark the location of
the hole on the wall and remove the heater. Drill a
hole at the marked spot and insert a plug. Now hang
the heater in place and screw the bracket to the wall,
as shown in the diagram. The heater is now
installed.
Switching on and operation
Check that the control button is ‘OFF’ (O).
Fully unwind the electric cable and insert the plug into a suitable 220/240V socket.
Turn the thermostat dial to + (clockwise as far as possible).
Switch the heater on by turning the control dial to one of the following three
positions:
Fan only (thermostat always to maximum)
I Heating at half power (1000W)
II Heating at full power (2000W)
The light at the front will turn on.
It is most economical to heat the space at full power, then to switch to half power
to maintain the temperature.
Both at half and full power, the fan rotates at the same speed; the difference
between the two lies in the number of heating elements in use.
Once the desired temperature is reached, turn the thermostat dial back slowly until
you hear a click. The temperature is now set. The heater will automatically switch
on and off to maintain the set temperature. When the heater switches off, the pilot
light turns off as well. To set a higher or lower temperature, turn the thermostat dial
either clockwise or anticlockwise.
To switch the heater off, set the power dial to ‘O’ (off). The pilot light will turn off.
The pilot light, in other words, indicates that the heater is switched on, not that the
heater is connected to the mains!
