Fully extend the power cord and plug into a suitable 240 V socket. To prevent
the circuit overloading, check that no other appliances are connected to the
same group.
Putting into operation and functioning
Switching On the heater
Turn the On/Off switch to 'I’.

If you use the heater for the first time or after a long time of not using it,
observe the heater for the initial 10 to 15 minutes to be certain that the heater
is working properly.
Switching off the heater
Turn the ON/OFF switch to ‘O’.
The lamp switches off.
Let the heater cool down completely.
Remove the plug from the socket.
Do not let the heater burn for more than eight consecutive hours. Switch off the
heater regularly and let it cool down before switching it on again.
Protection
Safety in case of falling over
The appliance is equipped with a safety mechanism that switches off the appliance
in case it suddenly falls over. When subsequently you set it upright again, it will
begin functioning once more. However, first switch it off, remove the plug from the
socket and check the heater for any damage. Do not use the heater, if there is
damage or irregular functioning, but have it checked and repaired!
Cleaning and maintenance
Keep the heater clean. Dust and dirt in the appliance are common causes of
damage or malfunction! Remove these regularly. Before cleaning or maintaining the
heater, switch it off, remove the plug from the socket and let the heater cool down.
Wipe the external side of the heater regularly using a dry cloth or a moist, but
well wrung-out cloth. Do not use any abrasive soap, sprays, cleaning agents,
scouring agents or any chemical solutions!
Using a vacuum cleaner, gently extract dust and dirt from the grids. Watch out
during cleaning that you don’t touch and/or damage any internal parts!
The heater does not contain any other parts that need maintenance.
At the end of the season, clean the heater and store it in the original packaging,
if possible. Place it upright in a cool, dry and dust-free place.
