1 - Insect killers Fly Away 7-Oval and Fly Away 11-Oval
The electronic insect killers Fly Away 7-Oval and Fly Away 11-Oval attract small flies and
flying biting insects to their ultra-violet light. On their way to the lamp, the insects fly
against an electrically charged grid which destroys them quickly, hygienically and
painlessly. They then fall into a removable receptacle on the underside of the apparatus.
2 - Safety instructions
Before use, check that the power outlet supplies the required voltage: 220-240V/50 Hz.
The electrical system that you are using for the connection of the insect killer, should be
provided with an RCD. If necessary, you may use an approved extension cord.
Always remove the plug from the socket before:
touching
moving
cleaning
or performing maintenance to the device
Hold the plug in your hand when unplugging; never pull the cord.
Do not touch the live grid never: either with a finger or with metal pin or any other object!
Never hang the device from or lift it by its lead. Never use the lead to pull the plug from
the wall socket. Make sure that the lead is not subjected or exposed to heat, oil,
aggressive chemicals, sharp objects (edges, etc.), or that it gets pinched or otherwise
damaged. If you nevertheless notice any defect or damage to the lead, replace it
immediately.
Keep the device out of the reach of children and domestic animals.
The appliance (incl. cord and plug) may only be opened and/or repaired by properly
authorised and qualified persons. Never make any modifications to the device.
Modifications or repairs by not-qualificated people do expire the guarantee and the
responsibility of dealer, importer and manufacturer.
Never clean the device with water or submerge it in liquid, and keep it safe from
moisture and rain. This also applies to the cord and plug.
Do not use the device under ground-floor level.
Not suited for use:
Outdoors
on humid places as bathrooms, washing places, swimming pools etc.
in stables or sheds
on dusty places
on places with easy-inflammable materials in the neighbourhood
The wires of the high-voltage grid must not touch. If they become bent, bend them
straight again (after unplugging the device!).
Close supervision is necessary if the product is used near children or incapacitated
persons. This appliance is not suitable to be operated by children or persons who have
physical, sensory and/or mental limitations, or by persons who have no knowledge of, or
experience with, this appliance. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or
lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
