Fully extend the power cord and plug into a suitable 220-240V socket. To prevent the
circuit overloading, check that no other appliances are connected to the same group.
Using for the first time and Operation
Activate the heater by switching the main switch to I (ON). You will hear a buzzing sound
and the display will show two lines. The heater is now in standby mode.
Pressing on the ON/OFF button (1) will switch the
heater on. The red power lamp will light up and
the heater will start operating at low power (LO).
The display shows the set temperature.
Each time you press the MODE button (2), you will
switch to another function:
LO > HI > ECO > (frost protection) > LO etc.
LO: low power (1,350 W) with thermostat operation - without sensor function
HI: high power (2,000 W), with thermostat operation - without sensor function
ECO sensor operation, high power with thermostat function (ECO). If the sensor detects
no-one for 5 minutes, the heater will automatically switch off (standby). It will resume
operation on its old settings if someone is detected within 2 metres of the heater. You
will then hear a buzzer.
(frost protection) The heater will try to keep the space frost-free. The thermostat is
permanently set to 7°C and the sensor will not operate.
Thermostat:
The thermostat is set standard to 20 degrees. Using the Λ (3) and V (4) buttons, you can set
the thermostat higher or lower respectively: from 5 to 35°C. (Note: it will take about a
minute before the heater responds to a new temperature setting!). Once the set
temperature has been reached, the heater will switch itself off; the fan will cool for another
30 seconds and then it too will stop. If the temperature drops, the heater will switch itself on
again. The display will continue to show the set temperature.
Wind direction:
You can adjust the airflow direction by turning the wind direction button.
To switch the heater off, set the main switch to O (off); this will erase all settings. Allow the
appliance to cool down for 30 seconds and remove the plug from the power socket. Always
remove the plug from the socket if the heater is not working!
Attention! The heater remains hot for some time after use!
Safety feature
In case of internal overheating, the overheating safeguard will switch the heater off. This
may occur if the heater cannot give off enough heat or if it cannot draw in enough fresh air.
As mentioned above, this is generally caused by (partially) covering the heater, obstructing
the air intake and/or outlet grills or installing the heater too close to a wall or something
similar. When the overheating safeguard switches the heater off, you must then switch off
by means of the main switch. Unplug and allow the heater to cool down. Remove and/or
amend the cause of overheating and use again, as normal. If you cannot find a cause and
overheating recurs, stop using the heater, and take it in for inspection/repair.
