WEATHER TENDENCY DISPLAY
The weather station indicates the weather tendency with a graphic symbol in the
upper left of the display. The calculation is done in the same way as for the weather
forecast, by observing the change of atmospheric pressure. Pay attention to the
information in the chapter “Weather forecast”.
Weather improvement (rising atmospheric pressure)
No weather change (constant atmospheric pressure)
Weather deterioration (falling atmospheric pressure)
BAR GRAPH DISPLAY FOR CHANGE OF ATMOSPHERIC
PRESSURE
The course of the atmospheric pressure of the last 12 hours is shown in the right of
the display with a bar graph.

At start-up (or after replacing the batteries), measured data are not available
and all bars have the same height.
ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE
The atmospheric pressure measured by the integrated pressure gauge is shown in
the top right of the display (pressure unit “hPA”).
The weather station displays the actual atmospheric pressure, which is dependent
on the altitude of your home (the higher this place the lower the atmospheric pres-
sure).

Please note that the atmospheric pressure values you might fi nd e.g. on the
internet are always converted in relation to sea level. Thus, a deviation of
the reading of the weather station is the result.
DISPLAY OF MOON PHASE
In the upper right of the display you fi nd the moon phase. It is calculated automati-
cally based on the date (either via DCF signal or via the manually set date).
COMFORT INDICATOR
Above the depiction of the weather forecast, you can fi nd the comfort indicator
which provides with all current environmental conditions around the location of the
weather station:
too dry (humidity < 40%)
ideal (temperature 20 - 28 °C, humidity 40 - 70%)
too damp (humidity > 70%)

If nothing is displayed, the temperature at the location is < 20 °C or > 28 °C.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The product is maintenance-free for you; you should never dismantle it (except for
inserting/replacing the batteries as described in these operating instructions).
To clean the exterior of the weather station, a dry, soft and clean cloth is suffi cient.
Do not press too hard on the display of the weather station, this may cause scratch-
es or the display to malfunction; furthermore, the display might break.
Dust on the weather station can be easily removed with the help of a long-haired,
soft and clean brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Use a slightly damp soft cloth to remove dirt from the outdoor sensor.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or cleaning alcohol as it can impair the func-
tion.
DISPOSAL
a) Product
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used bat-
teries/rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these sym-
bols to indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The sym-
bols for the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=Cadmium, Hg=Mercury, Pb=Lead
(marked on batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. under the rubbish bin
symbol shown to the left).
You can dispose of your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at your
community’s collection point or any place where batteries/rechargeable batteries
are sold!
You thereby fulfi l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY (DOC)

that this product conforms to the fundamental requirements and the other relevant
regulations of the directive 1999/5/EC.
You can fi nd the declaration of conformity for this product at:

RANGE
The transmission range of the radio signals between outdoor sensor and weather
station is up to 30 m under optimum conditions.

This range specifi cations refer to the so-called „free-fi eld range.“
However, this ideal arrangement (e.g. weather station and outdoor sensor on a plain,
even meadow without trees, houses etc.) never exists in practice.
Usually, the weather station is placed inside a house and the outside sensor is placed
e.g. under a carport or at a window.
Due to the different in uences on the radio transmission, no specifi c range can be
guaranteed.
However, trouble-free operation is usually possible in a detached house. When the
weather station doesn’t receive any data from the outdoor sensor (despite new bat-
teries), reduce the distance between outdoor sensor and weather station, change
the installation site.
The range can sometimes be limited considerably by:
-
Walls, concrete ceilings
-
Coated/vapour-deposited insulating glass panes, aluminium windows
-
Vehicles
-
Trees, bushes, earth, rocks
-
Proximity to metallic & conductive objects (e.g. heating elements)
-
Proximity to human bodies
-
Broadband interferences, e.g. in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobile
phones, radio-controlled headphones, radio-controlled speakers, other radio-con-
trolled weather stations, babyphones etc.)
-
Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power supply units, computers
-
Proximity to mains sockets, network cables
-
Proximity to improperly shielded or uncovered operating computers or other elec-
trical devices
