3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Regular maintenance will increase durability and reliability.
• Keep the work area clean. Use the bench grinder always in a clean and dry
environment. Do not expose the machine to rain and keep the work area well
lit. Do not use the tool in presence of flammable liquids or gases.
• Keep children away and do not let visitors contact tool or extension cord. All
visitors should be kept away from work area.
• Store idle tools when not in use in a dry and high or locked-up place out of
reach of children.
• Do not force the tool. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it
was intended.
• Always use the right tool. Do not force small tool or attachment to do the job
of a heavy duty tool. Do not use the tool for purposes not intented, for
example do not use a circular saw for cutting tree limbs or logs.
• Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. They can be caught in moving parts.
Rubber gloves and nonskid footwear are recommended when working
outdoors. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
• Always wear safety glasses. If the cutting operation is dusty, it is advisable to
use a face or dust mask.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
• Maintain the tools with care. Keep the tools sharp and clean for better and
safer performance. Follow the instructions for lubricating and changing
accessories. Inspect the tool cords and extension cords periodically and if
damaged, have them repaired or replaced by an authorised service facility.
Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
• Before you turn on the machine, always first check if adjusting keys and
wrenches have been removed from tool.
• Avoid unintentional starting of the machine. Do not carry the tool with your
finger on the switch.
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use your common sense. Do not
operate tool when you are tired.
• Check damaged parts. Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part
that is damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate
properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving
parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any other
conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is damaged
should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorised service centre
unless otherwise indicated elsewhere in this instruction manual. Have
defective switches replaced by an authorised service centre. Do not use tool if
switch does not turn it on and off.
• The use of accessories or attachments other than recommended might
present a hazard. When servicing only use original replacement parts.
• Save these instuctions for future reference.
