4. Extraiga el conector de la fuente de alimentación y los otros conectores.
Mantenga la impresora recta y plana al embalarla y al transportarla.
Asegúrese de no enviar el cartucho de tinta que ha retirado de la impresora.
Lectura MICR (opción instalada en fábrica sólo para las
TM-J7000/J7100)
PRECAUCIÓN:
No inserte cheques con grapas. Esto podría ocasionar atascos de papel,
errores de lectura MICR, y daños al cabezal MICR.
Nunca abra la tapa del rollo de papel mientras se esté usando el lector MICR.
Compruebe que los cheques estén lisos, sin curvaturas, dobleces ni arrugas.
No use cheques con copia.
1. Espere hasta que el indicador HOJA SUELTA (CUT SHEET) parpadee. Entonces
inserte el cheque hasta el fondo, con la cara hacia arriba y el lado derecho alineado
con la guía derecha. Asegúrese de que los caracteres MICR estén a la derecha,
como lo indica la flecha en la ilustración L.
2. La impresora detectará el cheque y lo cargará. Cuando esto suceda, suéltelo
de inmediato. Cuando la impresora expulse el cheque y el indicador de HOJA
SUELTA (CUT SHEET) vuelva a parpadear, extraiga el cheque tirando de él en
línea recta; no tire de él en ángulo.
Limpieza del mecanismo MICR
Aproximadamente cada 12 meses limpie el cabezal MICR con una hoja de
limpieza humedecida.
Use la siguiente hoja de limpieza o una similar disponible en el mercado:
«CHECK READER CLEANING CARD» («TARJETA DE LIMPIEZA PARA
LECTOR DE CHEQUES») Marca PRESAT (KIC).
Nota:
Asegúrese de no usar una hoja de limpieza adhesiva.
Siga estos pasos:
1. Cargue el rollo de papel en la impresora; apague la alimentación eléctrica;
después abra la tapa del rollo de papel y vuelva a encender la alimentación
mientras mantiene pulsado el botón de LIMPIEZA (CLEANING).
2. Presione el botón de LIMPIEZA 7 veces y a continuación cierre la tapa del rollo
de papel. La impresora imprime el siguiente mensaje en el rollo de papel y el
indicador de HOJA SUELTA (CUT SHEET) parpadea.
