❏ Place a transparent sheet between the document and

document table to defocus the image.

❏ Move or angle the document slightly on the document table.

❏ Select Off from the Unsharp Mask list in the Destination dialog

box.

❏ Make the image size slightly smaller.

❏ Change the focus setting.

Colors differ from the original.

❏ Make sure the Image Type and Destination settings are

correct. To change these settings, see “Selecting an Image

Type” on page 2-4 and “Selecting a Destination” on page 2-9.

❏ When using the Transparency Unit, make sure the opening

near the hinges on the document table is uncovered, and that

the Transparency Unit is closed when scanning.

Monitor colors

❏ Check the color matching and color management capabilities

of your computer, display adapter, and software. Some

computers can change the color palette to adjust the colors on

your screen. See your software and hardware manuals for

details.

❏ Exact color matching is very difficult. Check your software

and monitor documentation for information on color

matching and calibration.
