- Cut the copper pipe at the set length, using a pipe cutter; there is to be
a suitable straight section near the outdoor unit in order to enable the
flare to be remade if necessary.
- Remove any burrs from the end of the pipe, using a countersink. This ope-
ration is very important in order to obtain good quality flaring (Fig. A).
6. EXTERNAL UNIT INSTALLATION
6.3 Refrigerating circuit piping
The connections for the refrigerating piping are sealed with a flared end and flare-nut.
The outdoor unit contains the whole charge of the refrigerating system and is equipped with valves with flare-nut connections and service fitting connection.

Attention!
Use only new, annealed, degreased and deoxidated copper pipe of the
CU DHP for UNI EN 12735-1 type.
The copper pipe for plumbing services is not suitable.

Path and bending of pipelines
- Define the pipeline path with the fewest possible bends.
- Bend the pipe with a suitable pipe-bending machine to avoid dangerous
flattening.
- For wide bends, use cylindrical surfaces for support, working very
delicately.
Attention!
Do not bend the copper pipe more than three times in the same place, to
avoid the danger of splitting it.
Warning!
When you remove the burrs, keep the end of the pipe towards the bottom,
avoiding scraps from dropping inside it. The unions placed on the pipe
fittings of the units are to be immediately
removed before use, working in such a way that the cocks remain open
