8.15 FOLLOW ME function
Press this button to enable the FOLLOW ME function. The display will
show the symbol
. Press it again to disable it.
The remote control is equipped with a probe that detects ambient tem-
perature. The FOLLOW ME function is used to communicate the indoor
ambient temperature detected by the remote control.
Once this function is engaged, the remote control uses a signal to com-
municate the detected temperature to the air conditioner board every 3
minutes.
This prevents the air from stratifying, especially due to heating. The update
occurs even when any other button on the remote control is pressed.
Note: Do not allow there to be any obstacles between the remote control
and the internal unit’s receiver.
8. AIR CONDITIONER USE
8 .16 LED Function
Press the LED button on the remote control to turn it on or off
the display and the front panel lights.
8.18 RESERVE function
This feature allows you to operate the air conditioning without remote
control.
Press the backup button on the machine to activate the drive in this
way AUTO.
Press the backup button a second time to turn the unit on COOL.
Press the backup button a third time to turn off the unit.
8.17 AUTORESTART Function
The Autorestart function allows automatic ignition of the air conditioner.
In the event of a sudden power failure, the air conditioner will resume
working with the same settings prior to interruption.
8.20 Tips for the user
Heating mode efficiency
- This air conditioner is equipped with a heat pump type heating system
that concentrates the heat of the outside air, with the help of the cool-
ant, to warm the interior environment. Therefore, the heating capacity of
the air conditioner decreases with the decrease of the outside tempera-
ture. When the heating capacity is no longer sufficient, it is recommend-
ed to use another heating system in conjunction with the air conditioner.
- Since the heat pump type air conditioner uses hot air circulation to warm
up the entire space of a room, sometimes it takes time before the room
temperature rises after it is switched on.

8.19 Dirty filter function
This function reminds you to clean the filters so the unit can work properly.
The internal unit display will flash “CL”.
Once the filters have been cleaned (as explained in the specific chapter),
reset the flashing “CL” by pressing the LED key on the remote control 4
times or, alternatively, by pressing the RESERVE BUTTON 3 times.
Note:
cleaning frequency depends on what kind of room the unit is installed in;
as such, it might be necessary to clean the filters even before the unit
reminds you to do so.
