5. When the title has been filled out, select the ‘OK’ button on the screen and then
press the ‘OK’ button on the remote control.
6. Select the ‘Search’ button and press the ‘OK’ button on the remote control. The
searched video will be shown.
Hint: Press the ‘Zoom’ button to view the video in full screen.
Hint: Use the ‘Login’ feature to login to your personal Google or Gmail account to view
your own uploaded video’s.
14.3 YouTube Leanback
YouTube Leanback is a YouTube feature which brings a ‘Television’ experience.
Using YouTube Leanback, you can select video’s from several different categories,
such as ‘Animation’, ‘Automotive’, ‘Comedy’ and many more.
You can login to the ‘YouTube Leanback’ feature using your computer and create a
playlist which can be played on your media player!
You can also use the ‘Pair’ option in ‘YouTube Leanback’ and ‘pair’ many devices
such as your Android smartphones and tablets, iOS devices such iPhones, iPad etc to
the media player. This way, you can search video’s on YouTube, select the video’s
and then play these video’s on your television!
14.3.1 Discover Channels
1. Select ‘Apps’ in the main menu and press the ‘OK’ button.
2. Select ‘YouTube leanback’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
3. Select ‘Discover Channels’.
4. The right side of the screen will then show different categories.
5. Select a category, for example, ‘Comedy’ and press the ‘OK’ button.
6. The right side of the screen will then show the available titles or shows which
belong to the ‘Comedy’ category.
7. Select a title or show and press the ‘OK’ button.
8. Usually, the screen will then tell you more video’s are available in the already
chosen title or show. Press the ‘OK’ button.
9. Usually, the video starts to play.
10. You can use the navigation keys to pop-up the playback buttons.
Hint: You can also use the ‘Search’ option to search for specific titles.
14.3.2 My YouTube
‘My YouTube’ has some extra features: You can sign in to your own YouTube
account. You can then create a playlist which can be used on the media player.
You can also pair your portable device such as your smartphone or tablet. This way,
you can select a video on your smartphone or tablet and play this on you media
player.
