12.6 Play media through your network using iMediaShare
You can also play media through your network by using the iMediaShare software.
Using this software, it will become possible to stream video’s from applications such
as YouTube to your EM7385 or EM7380 using your smartphone or tablet (iOS and
Android systems).
These applications are preset applications within the iMediaShare software. In the
following chapter, we have been using ImediaShare version 4.2 on an Ipad3 with iOS
5.1.
1. Visit Apple’s ‘Appstore’, or, in case you have an Android device, visit ‘Google’s
Play store’.
2. Search for the (free) iMediaShare App.
3. Download and install the App on your device.
4. Open iMediaShare.
5. Select an application from the list, and press the chosen application to open the
chosen application.
6. If you choose to play an item (a video stream), the iMediaShare software will ask
you where to stream to. Choose your EM7385 or EM7380 (The EM7385 &
EM7380 will be recognizable since it has the network name you gave the media
player in chapter 7.4.4).
7. The media player will show the stream on your television.
Note: The iMediaShare software is provided by a Third Party. This means Eminent is
not responsible for the functioning of the App. If you experience problems with the
iMediaShare software, you need to refer to the manufacturer of the software.
