Gas heatinG system
The hot air for heating the passenger compartment is
generated by a gas heater or by the Combi system.
See the respective instructions provided
with the vehicle documentation for a de-
scription of the heater and its operation.
See paragraphs “Combi system on page
58 and Combi CP Plus on page 59 of
this manual and the respective instructions
booklet for a description of the Combi sys-
tem.
The gas heater heat exchanger should be
replaced ten years after it is rst used and
by the manufacturer of the heater or by a
workshop authorised by the manufacture.
The owner of the vehicle is responsible for
having the replacement carried out.
Have a workshop authorised by ELNAGH
check the discharge elements of all gas ap-
pliances once a year. In particular, check the
heater discharge which must function e-
ciently and be free of obstructions and
breakages. Take the utmost care to avoid
crushing, holes, tears or detachments of the
heating discharge pipes in order to avoid
the release of carbon dioxide.
Before lighting the heater:
Remove protection cover located on the
external air intake.
On the gas distribution unit (page 48),
open tap E on the heater.
vent adjuStment
The hot air distribution system is made up of pipes and
outlet vents throughout the living area.
The vents can be adjusted to direct the hot air to the de-
sired areas. To direct the air ow, turn the vent holding the
ring nut A.
On some models the vents can be opened and closed as
well as directed. Turn the tab B to direct and adjust the
air ow.
B
A
When all the vents are open, the ow of hot
air coming out from each of the vents will
be restricted. For a stronger air ow from
one or more of the vents, close all the oth-
ers.
combi system and boiler
Both the boiler and the Combi system heat water. The
boiler is a bathroom water heater and the Combi system
also supplies hot air to heat the vehicle. The two systems
are separate and are NEVER present in the vehicle at the
same time.
Read the instructions provided by the man-
ufacturers before using the Boiler/Combi
system for the rst time.
It takes about 15-30 minutes to heat the
water.
If you are not using the Boiler/Combi sys-
tem for an extended period, close the gas
tap and the quick-closing valves.
Empty the Boiler/Combi system if there is
a risk of freezing.
Always keep the exhaust gas ue and
combustion air outlet clean.
When using the door of the rear storage
locker, take care not to leave it open in
proximity of the exhaust gas pipe. If the
Boiler/Combi system is in operation, the
exhaust fumes can damage the locker
door.
