The driver is always responsible for checking that:
Passengers remain seated in the type-approved
seats and wear safety belts in both forward and
backward facing seats. The total number of type-ap-
proved seats is indicated on the vehicle registration
certicate and each seat is identied with a label.
Child restraint systems are placed in seats tted with
three-point safety belts only. Seats facing backwards
are not suitable for installing child restraint systems.
The doors and windows remain locked when the
vehicle is in motion.
All the safety measures listed in this manual are ob-
served.
The door step (where tted) if perfectly retracted
and locked before starting o even after short stops.
It is expressly prohibited to move within the vehicle, or
use equipment, beds or toilet while travelling.
The equipment and facilities present in the vehicle
are designed to be used only when the vehicle is sta-
tionary. The use of such equipment and facilities while
travelling contravenes the highway code and presents
risks of which the user should be aware. ELNAGH does
not accept responsibility for accidents occurring while
travelling.
Remember that the vehicle chassis is that of a commer-
cial vehicle: adopt a suitable driving style as a conse-
quence. A few things must be taken into consideration
with regard to the weight and load dierences com-
pared with a motorcar. In particular:
Drive carefully, avoiding having to brake suddenly.
Expect longer braking times than with a motorcar.
Be aware of the vehicles dimensions, especially the
rear part.
Allow for a reasonably long time when overtaking.
Be particularly careful when parking and reversing.
Also remember that the extensive side area of
motorhomes makes them particularly susceptible
to gusts of wind from the side. Drive at a sensible
speed in high winds and take special care when
coming out of tunnels, driving over viaducts and
when overtaking articulated lorries and coaches.
Take special care when negotiating underpasses
and sections with height restrictions.
The maximum permitted load on the rear axle can be
exceeded by a maximum of 15% and the maximum
permitted weight for the vehicle fully laden can be ex-
ceeded by a maximum of 5% or be 100 kg at the most,
selecting the lower of these two gures. It can only be
applied for this specic use as long as the speed re-
mains 100 km/h or less.
Drive slowly on uneven road surfaces. To
prevent damage to the underbody or to
parts tted on the lower section of the vehi-
cle, remember that the rear protrusion,
which is particularly large on the bigger
models, may make manoeuvring tricky with
the risk of the vehicle getting stuck. Pay
special attention to slopes and to access
ramps to car parks, ferries, speed humps,
etc., driving over very uneven terrain and
during reversing manoeuvres.
