ENGLISH
The IR600VC is a passive infrared motion sensor (PIR) with built-in video camera. When motion is detect, it sends alarm and
10-second video signals to the system control unit.
The detector consists of two parts, a cover and a base. The cover contains all the electronic and optical components and the
camera, while there are provisions in the base for holes for installation on a flat surface or in a corner. The detector is also
provided with a single tamper switch which is activated when an attempt to open or remove the cover from the installed surface
is detected.
Part identification
1.
Illuminator
The illuminator provides sufficient light to acquire images in poor lighting conditions.
The blue LED and the illuminator both blink once when the function button is pressed for 10
seconds to indicate that the detector was reset.
2. IR sensor lens
The sensor is used to detect moving objects.
3. Camera lens
4. Blue LED/Function button
Meaning of the LEDs:
The blue LED lights up in the following conditions:
- The blue LED blinks once every 20 minutes: the detector has lost the
connection with the control unit.
- The blue LED lights up for 30 seconds: the detector is being initialised and a
fault is detected.
- The blue LED blinks fast twice: the detector is connected correctly to the control
unit following a learning procedure.
- The blue LED lights up for two seconds during normal operation: The detector
has detected motion and a fault was detected.
- The blue LED blinks: the detector is transmitting images to the control unit and
a fault was detected.
- The blue LED and the Flash LED blink once: the detector was reset.
Using the function button:
- Press the button once to send a supervision signal.
- To access Test mode: hold the function button pressed for five seconds.
- To reset the detector: hold the button pressed for 10 seconds. Release the
button when the illuminator and the blue LED blink once.
5. Battery compartment
6. Jumper JP1
- Jumper On: The rest time is disabled (see below).
- Jumper Off: the detector has a sleep time of approximately 1 minute to save energy.
7. Tamper switch
The tamper switch is activated when it is lifted and reset when it is compressed (against a wall or a surface).
Features
Image acquisition
Once the alarm system is activated, the detector acquires a 10-second video when motion is detected. The detector can also be
used to acquire a video manually using a remote control (app, portal or local control panel).
Initialisation period
The detector is initialised for 30 seconds when the control unit enters activation mode or when the detector is set to Test. Do not
generate alarms during the initialisation period. If the battery of the detector is flat or if the tamper switch is open, the blue LED
lights up during the initialisation period.
Sleep Time
When the Jumper 1 is set to Off, the detector will respect a “sleep time” of approximately 1 minute to save energy. After having
transmitted a detected movement, the detector will not transmit again for one minute; any further movements detected during
the sleep period will extend the sleep period by another minute. In this way, continuous movements in front a detector will not
drain the battery unnecessarily.
Jumper On
The jumper is connected
between the two pins.
Jumper Off
the jumper is removed or
"arranged" on a pin.
