Il termostato regola automaticamente la temperatura all‘interno dell’apparecchio. Ruo-
MESSA IN FUNZIONE DELL’APPARECCHIO
automaticamente in funzione.
The thermostat automatically settles the | temperature inside the appliance. Turn the
knob from setting to setting 5 i to obtain increasingly colder Temperatures. To obtain
optimum temperature inside the refrigerator, turn the thermostat knob to a middle setting
(Fig. 9). While adjusting the cold setting, however, keep in mind how often the door is
opened, S the amount of food on the racks and the room temperature.
TURNING ON THE APPLIANCE
Fill the special ice tray (Fig. 8) with water, set the thermostat according to the desired
temperature, close the door and plug in. The refrigerator starts functioning automati-
cally Let it work without any food for half an hour, then arrange the food in such a way
to allow a good circulation of air inside the refrigerator and close the door. In case of
prolonged absences, it is advisable to stop the functioning of the refrigerator and keep
the door open to avoid the formation of moulds or unpleasant smells.
DEFROSTING
The frost which forms on the cooling grids must be removed when the layer reaches a
thickness of around 3-4 mm. If this is not done, the transmission of cold is less efficient
and energy consumption is increased. The layer of frost must be removed using the
special plastic scraper supplied.
WARNING: do not use mechanical devices or other artificial means to accelerate the
defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
Such cleaning is very important to guarantee a good operation of the refrigerator and
avoid useless energy consumption. In order to defrost the refrigerator, press the button
situated at the centre of the thermostat knob, without changing the position (Fig. 9). The
water conveyed in the tray is eliminated by letting it drip out of the hole, placed on the
bottom, after removing the tap. This operation is to be done directly after the push-
button has been pressed, taking care to place a container with a capacity of a least 3/
4 litres, under the hole. At the end of the defrosting operation, the refrigerator automati-
cally starts running.
