Ak o je gajtan predugačak , m ožete da sm estite

višak gajtana u pregradu na zadnjem delu

aparata.

Pre prve upotrebe

Pre prvog sprem anja k afe, obavite jedno ili

dva k uvanja sam o sa vodom . Napunite

rezervoar za svežu vodu h ladnom vodom do

poslednje oznak e za šoljice k afe, uk ljučite

aparat i pustite da voda teče u lonac za k afu,

bez upotrebe m levene k afe ili papirnog filtera.

Da biste to uradili, pritisnite dugm e za

uk ljučivanje/isk ljučivanje (Slik a 2/B).

1 Priprem anje

1.1 Stavljanje ugljenog filtera

Izvadite ugljeni filter iz plastičnog pak ovanja i

tem eljno ga isperite pod m lazom vode.

Otvorite pok lopac rezervoara za vodu (Slik a

1/J).

Izvadite posudu (Slik a 4).

Stavite ugljeni filter u držač za filter (Slik a 5).

Stavite držač za filter u posudu i zak ljučajte je

ok retanjem u sm eru k azaljk e na satu (Slik a 6).

Vratite posudu i zatvorite pok lopac rezervoara

za vodu.

Voda sa česm e će biti prečišćena tok om

procesa k ljučanja. Im ajte na um u da ugljeni

filter m ora da se zam eni ili nak on 70 k uvanja

ili nak on dva m eseca (štagod da se prvo

dogodi) da bi se sačuvala efik asnost filtera.

Stari ugljeni filter ne m ože da se čisti, već

m ora da se zam eni novim .

Kontrola filtera

Jedinica im a autom atsk u k ontrolu filtera.

Uk ljučite aparat pom oću dugm eta za

uk ljučivanje/isk ljučivanje O (Slik a 2/B).

Pritisnite dugm e G (Slik a 2/H ). Z nak Q

će zasvetleti.

Nak on 70 k uvanja ili najk asnije nak on 2

m eseca, znak će početi da treperi.

Tada je vrem e da zam enite ugljeni filter.

Nak on toga pritisnite dugm e G (Slik a

2/H ) nešto duže od 3 sek unde.

Z nak će zasvetleti k ao i obično.

Kratk o pritisnite dugm e G , ak o želite da

k oristite aparat bez ugljenog filtera. Z nak Q

će se ugasiti.

11.2 Coffee grinder

From tim e to tim e (at th e latest w h en a

block age occurs), it is necessary to clean th e

grinder ch annel to free it from oily coffee

residues.

To do th is, proceed as follow s:

Rem ove th e plug from th e m ains.

Using a pointed object (e.g. a ball pen) unlock

th e cover of th e grinding ch annel (Figure 1/G

and Figure 18) and pull th e cover tow ards th e

front.

Sw ing out th e w ater supply (Figure 1/D ) using

th e sw ivel lever (Figure 1/H ) until it engages

(Figure 13).

Insert a paper filter in th e sw ivel filter.

Brush th e coffee residue (including th at from

th e rear of th e ch annel) into th e paper filter

using a suitable item (e.g., paintbrush ) (Figure

19 ). Th e coffee residue can also be rem oved

using a vacuum cleaner.

Th en w ipe th e grinding ch annel w ith a dry

cloth .

Em pty th e paper filter.

Press th e release lever (Figure 1/C) to return

th e w ater supply to th e brew ing position

(Figure 14).

Push th e cover of th e grinding ch annel

(Figure 1/G and Figure 18) back on until it

engages. W h en doing so, press th e catch

dow n w ith your finger. Ch eck th at th e cover

is correctly positioned.

Your coffee m ach ine is now fully ready for

use again.

If dark , oily coffee beans are used, th e

grinding ch annel needs to be cleaned m ore

often th an for ligh t beans.

To avoid block ages in th e grinding ch annel:

• D o not use frozen coffee beans, as w ater

condenses on th em on defrosting and can

lead to block ages.

• Position th e appliance sufficiently far aw ay

from th e cook er or a deep fat fryer as fat can

cause a block age.

• Alw ays k eep th e container for th e coffee

beans closed.

Every now and again clean th e coffee grinder

(Figure 1/E) of oily residues from th e coffee

beans using a dry cloth .

12 Descaling - to prolong th e

life of your coffee m ach ine

As a precaution w e recom m end descaling

every th ree m onth s. If you are using a gold

filter, rem ove it from th e filter insert before

descaling. Use only an environm entally

friendly descaling agent and alw ays follow

th e m anufacturer’s instructions. Do not use

any descaler based on form ic acid. Nor sh ould

you use a pow der descaling agent.

First fill th e fresh w ater container w ith w ater

and th en add th e descaling agent. Never vice

versa.

Place th e coffee jug w ith lid on th e w arm ing

plate.

Allow th e descaling solution to w ork for

approxim ately 15 m inutes, th en sw itch on th e

appliance.

Once th e descaling solution h as percolated

th rough , sw itch th e appliance off.

If necessary, repeat th e descaling procedure.

Th en repeat th e procedure at least tw ice

using clear w ater.

Rinse th e coffee jug, jug lid and filter insert

th orough ly under running w ater.

Activate th e anti- drip valve several tim es as it

is rinsed.

• In th e event of a sh ort- term pow er failure,

any data entered w ill be stored for m in. 2

m inutes.

• If th e w ater supply h as been inadvertently

sw ung out, use th e release lever (Figure 1/C),

to sw ing it back in position (Figure 14).
