Taking the temperature
Taking the temperature in the ear:
To obtain an accurate reading, gently pull the ear back to straighten
the ear canal and snugly position the probe into the ear canal,
aiming towards the membrane of the eardrum.
Press and hold the “SCAN” button until you hear a beep sound.
Remove the probe from ear and read the temperature measurement
on the LCD.
Note:
• It is recommended that you measure the same ear 3 times. If the three
measurements are dierent, select the highest.
• To avoid the risk of cross contamination, please clean the probe
according to “Care and cleaning” section after each use.
• A healthy person can have dierent temperatures depending on
where the temperature is take. The variance can be between 0.2 - 1°C.
• Clinical repeatability: 0.23°C (<1 year old), 0.22°C (1~5 years old),
0.21°C (>5 years old)
Quando si eettua una nuova lettura della temperatura in modalità
auricolare, la lettura precedente viene visualizzata sullo schermo
nell’angolo in alto a destra con l’icona della lettura
precedente.
Misurazione della temperatura dalla fronte:
L’arteria temporale è collegata al cuore tramite l’arteria carotidea. Il
termometro è progettato per misurare la temperatura superciale intorno
all’arteria temporale, un’arteria principale della testa.
• Tenere il termometro nella posizione di misurazione necessaria sulla
fronte (si può scegliere la tempia destra o sinistra).
• Premere il pulsante ”SCAN”, quindi eseguire una delicata scansione
dell’area temporale. Durante la scansione, viene emesso un
segnale acustico che indica che la nuova misurazione è in corso.
Dopo l’emissione di due segnali acustici brevi la misurazione è
completata e l’icona della fronte smette di lampeggiare.
Il tempo necessario alla misurazione può variare da 5 a 8 sec. (no a 30 sec).
Nota:
a. La temperatura frontale viene visualizzata in modalità orale. Con questa modalità si
converte la temperatura frontale per visualizzare il valore ”orale equivalente”.
b. Prima della misurazione, evitare eventuali esercizio e rimanere fermi per 5 minuti. Nei 30
minuti prima della misurazione non fare il bagno.
c. Non dimenticare di mantenere l’area della tempia pulita da sudore e cosmetici durante
la misurazione.
