a stable surface. It is prohibited to operate the
appliance on an instable surface (e.g. on a bed).
4. Technical data:
Rated voltage: 230 V ~ 50 Hz
Output: 2000 W (1000 W / 2000 W)
Thermostat control: Infinitely adjustable
Protection type: IP21
Appliance dimensions, approx.: 23 x 13 x 18 cm
5. Proper use
The appliance is designed only for private use, not
for commercial heating purposes.
6. Starting up
Important! Before using the appliance for the first
time, check that the voltage supply is the same as
the voltage details set out on the data plate. Read
safety instructions listed under section 1.
When the heater is used for the first time or after a
long period of rest it may emit an odor for a short
time. This is not a fault.
6.1 Topple cut-out
If the appliance topples during operation, it is
automatically turned off by the switch (Fig. 3/Item 1).
When the heater is placed upright again (the switch
(Fig. /Item1) must be activated), the appliance
restarts immediately.
6.2 Heat output switch (Fig. 2):
Off setting (0)
Fan setting (✶)
Low heating output (1)
Maximum heating output (2)
6.3 Thermostat control/Room thermostat
(Fig. 1 / Item 3):
Switch on the required heating output. Turn the
control to “HI” until the required room temperature
has been reached. Then turn down the control until
you hear a clear click. The thermostat control will
switch the radiator on and off automatically to
maintain the room temperature at an almost constant
level. However, this presupposes that the radiator
has sufficient output to cover the heating
requirements for the room.
6.4 Overheat cut-out
In case of excessive heating, the heating function
shuts down automatically. If this case occurs, turn off
the appliance, disconnect the mains plug and wait a
few minutes until it has cooled. After eliminating the
cause (e.g. a covered air grille), the appliance can be
switched on again. If the overheat cut-out triggers
repeatedly, please contact your customer service
center.
7. Maintenance and cleaning
Before carrying out any cleaning and maintenance
work the appliance must be turned off,
disconnected from the power supply and cooled
down.
Maintenance and repair work may only be carried
out by an electrical servicing contractor or your
customer service center.
Check the mains lead at regular intervals for signs
of defects or damage. A damaged mains lead may
only be replaced by an electrician or the customer
service responsible for your country in compliance
with the relevant regulations.
Use a damp cloth to clean the casing.
Remove dust pollution with a vacuum cleaner.
8. Storage
The radiator has to be stored in a dry place, covered
if possible.
