drill is not intended for use outdoors as defined in
Article 3 of the Directive 2000/14/EC.

4. Important notes:
Be sure to read the following information before you
use your cordless hammer drill for the first time:
앬 Charge the battery pack only with the charger
supplied. An empty battery pack requires a
charging period of approximately 1 hour.
앬 Only use drills which are sharp and suitable for
the purpose.
5. Loading the Ni-Cd battery pack
(Fig. 2/3)
Important! If the battery block is placed under
heavy stress it may be possible that the battery
cannot be charged for a lengthy period of time.
1. Take the rechargeable battery pack out of the
handle (Fig. 2), pressing the pushlock button at
the side to do so.
2. Check that your mains voltage is the same as that
marked on the rating plate of the battery charger.
Plug the battery charger in the socket.
3. Push the battery pack onto the battery charger.
The red LED will come on. Press the “Button”
button to charge the battery pack. The green LED
will come on to indicate that the battery pack is
being charged. When charging has finished, the
green LED will switch off. Empty battery packs will
require approx. 1 hour for charging. The
temperature of the battery pack may rise slightly
during the charging operation. This is normal.
4. To remove the battery pack from the charger,
press the pushlock button (9) and pull the battery
pack up and out.
If the battery pack fails to become charged, please
check
앬 whether there is voltage at the socket-outlet
앬 whether there is proper contact at the charging
contacts on the charger.
If the battery still fails to become charged, please
return
앬 the charger

to our Customer Service Department.
To ensure that the NC battery pack provides long
service, you should take care to recharge it promptly.
You must recharge it when you find that the power of
the cordless hammer drill drops.
Never allow the battery pack to discharge complete-
ly. This will result in damage to the Ni-Cd battery
pack!
6. Preparations
앬 Use a detector to localize pipes and/or cables in
walls with concealed electric, water or gas lines.
6.1 Proper use
The cordless hammer drill is designed for drilling
work with hammer action in concrete, rock and brick,
always using the correct drill bit.
