AVVIAMENTO STARTING MISE EN ROUTE
scoppio. Portare la leva starter (C, Fig. 37) in posizione intermedia
(2). Effettuare l’avviamento tirando la fune d’avviamento. Una
volta avviato il motore disattivare il freno catena e attendere
alcuni secondi.
WARNING – Never start the saw engine without the bar, chain
and clutch cover (chain brake) assembled - or else the clutch
can come loose and cause personal injuries.
STARTING THE ENGINE
The chain brake must be engaged when starting the saw.
Set the chain brake by pushing the chain brake lever / hand
guard forward (towards the bar), to the brake position (Fig.33).
Pressing the push button (A, Fig. 34), the decompression valve
opens. It will automatically close at the first start. We suggest to
press the push button before every start. Push the choke lever,
(C, Fig. 35) fully down (1). Place the chain saw on the ground in a
stable position. Check that the chain is free to turn and will not
come into contact with any foreign objects. Hold the front handle
firmly with the left hand and put your right foot onto the base of
the rear handle (Fig. 36). Pull the starter cord a few times until the
first kick over of the engine is heard. Move the choke lever, (C, Fig.
37) to the intermediate position (2). Pull the starter cord to start the
engine. Once the engine is going release the chain brake and wait
for a few seconds. Then accelerate with the throttle (B, Fig. 38) to
fire the half throttle-blocking device.
Release the brake (Fig. 39).
WARNING - Once the engine is warmed up do not use the
choke to start up again.
WARNING - Use the semi-acceleration device only in the
phase of starting the engine.
BREAKING-IN THE ENGINE
The engine reaches the maximum power after 5÷8 hours of activity.
During this period of breaking-in do not use the engine at wide
open throttle without load, to avoid excessive functioning stress.
WARNING! - During the breaking-in period do not vary the
carburetion to obtain a presumed power increment; the
engine can be damaged.
NOTE: It is normal for smoke to be emitted from a new engine
during and after first use.
