AVVIAMENTO STARTING MISE EN ROUTE
freno inserito (Fig.33). Caricare il carburatore premendo il bulbo
(A, Fig. 34).
posteriore (Fig. 36). Tirare la funicella d’avviamento alcune volte
fino ad ottenere il primo scoppio. Portare la leva starter (C, Fig. 37)
in posizione intermedia (2). Effettuare l’avviamento tirando la fune
d’avviamento.
WARNING Never start the saw engine without the bar, chain
and clutch cover (chain brake) assembled - or else the clutch
can come loose and cause personal injuries.
STARTING THE ENGINE
The chain brake must be engaged when starting the saw. Set
the chain brake by pushing the chain brake lever / hand guard
forward (towards the bar), to the brake position (Fig.33). Fill
the carburetor by pushing primer bulb (A, Fig. 34). Push the choke
lever, (C, Fig. 35) fully down (1). Place the chainsaw on the ground
in a stable position. Check that the chain is free to turn and will
not come into contact with any foreign objects. Before you start
the engine, make sure the saw chain is not contacting any object.
Never try to start the saw when the guide bar is in a cut. Hold
the front handle firmly with the left hand and put your right foot
onto the base of the rear handle (Fig. 36). Pull the starter cord a
few times until the first kick over of the engine is heard. Move the
choke lever, (C, Fig. 37) to the intermediate position (2). Pull the
starter cord to start the engine. Once the engine is going release
the chain brake and wait for a few seconds. Then accelerate with
the throttle (B, Fig. 38) to fire the half throttle-blocking device.
Release the brake (Fig. 39).
WARNING - Once the engine is warmed up do not use the
choke to start up again.
WARNING - Use the semi-acceleration device only in the
phase of starting the engine.
BREAKING-IN THE ENGINE
The engine reaches the maximum power after 5÷8 hours of activity.
During this period of breaking-in do not use the engine at wide
open throttle without load, to avoid excessive functioning stress.
WARNING! - During the breaking-in period do not vary the
carburetion to obtain a presumed power increment; the
engine can be damaged.
NOTE: It is normal for smoke to be emitted from a new engine
during and after first use.
