IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Only use the appliance in the way indicated in this instruction manual.
Should you hand over the appliance to another user, make sure to hand over the
instruction manual together with the appliance.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the
appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when it is being used.
People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a
safe way, due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of
experience or knowledge, must never use the appliance without
supervision or instructions of a responsible person.
Close supervision is necessary if children are near the appliance in order to avoid that they
use it as a toy.
From time to time check the cord and plug for damages. Never use the appliance if cord,
plug or appliance shows any signs of damage. All repairs are to be made by a competent
qualified electrician

Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance.
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these
instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Do
not put it in a dishwasher.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute
a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in
any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply. Always let the
appliance cool down before cleaning or filling it again.
Unplug the appliance when not in use.
Make sure the hot parts of the appliance never come into contact with inflammable
materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc... when it is in use, as a fire might occur. Do not put
the appliance on hot surfaces or near open gas flames as the casing might melt.
Only use fresh (potable) and cold (moderate) water. Do not use water contained in
bathtubs, washbasins or other recipients.
Always fill between the minimum and maximum marks. The water must never be below
the minimum mark or the heating element might be damaged.
When using, make sure the lid is closed correctly. Never raise the lid when the jug kettle is in
use and when there are risks of hot water projection due to the bubbling.
Do not touch the hot parts of the appliance. Always use the handle.
In case you have overfilled, the appliance might overboil and boiling water might spout
out of the appliance.
Be careful not to get burned by the hot steam that evaporates when the water is boiling
and especially when you open the lid.
When descaling, use a product specifically made for that purpose that you find in the
shops. Do not use ammonia or any other substance that could damage your health.
If your appliance has a separate base, it can only be used with the appropriate base.
