1. General View of the Web Dashboard Application
1.1 Components of the Web Application
1 - Totalized Data:
In the upper area we will see the distance, time, calories, etc.
of the data represented in the second zone (the graphic
area)
2 - Time line of the Activities:
This coordinate chart shows you the latest activities. The X-
axis is the time and the Y-axis is the distance you have rided
with your bicycle. Each of the columns represents the sum of
the distance rided in a day. If you have done two activities
in a single day, the system will show you the number of
activities done that day and the data of each one. If you
want to see a list of all the activities carried out in a day
instead of searching them using the search engine, simply
click on the day in question to open the list with all of them
3.- Main Menu:
The main menu shows you all the links to the options that are
currently enabled in this zone. New options may appear
over time, such as promotions, access to exclusive
accessories for our customers, online store, etc.
4. New Event Creator:
This tool allows you to select the event type from the
available list and drag it on a date. This way we can create
an event on a day of one type. We must complete the rest of
the fields manually.
5. Facebook® friends:
Friends are the people who are currently registered on the
ebikemotion® platform and THAT ARE FRIENDS OF YOU IN
FACEBOOK®, you can automatically invite your friends to
any event on your calendar. Remember that when you
publish a route, you can also select that the route can only
be seen by your friends
6. Devices:
These are the mobile terminals that you used to connect to
your ebikemotion® system. We will show you the model, your
brand and the operator you used.
7.Event Calendar:
The event calendar is a very simple tool to use to organize
our activity and share information with other users of the
system to which we invite. The event system is the ideal
complement to the Facebook® friends system, as well as to
the system of activities.

2. Safety Warnings
Read all instructions carefully before
using the system
- Keep all safety instructions and warnings for
future reference.
- Not adhering to the instructions provided may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
- The term “battery pack” used in these operating
instructions, irrespective of model, refers both to
standard battery packs (battery packs with holder
on the bike frame) and spare-type battery packs
(removable battery packs with holder in the rear
rack/carrier or on the bike frame).
- Make sure you do not get distracted by the
display of the on-board computer, remote
information and Smartphone while cycling. Not
focusing exclusively on traffic can be the cause of an
accident.
- Read and follow the safety warnings and
operating instructions of the eBike system
- The ebikemotion electronic components and
casings are designed to work under the standards of
the IP54 code against dust and water. Although, the
electronic parts of the remote have received
conformal coating for extra protection and sealing
grommets are used to increase the waterproof
features, this does not mean they can withstand
extreme climatic conditions or large volumes of water
and caution should be taken to protect the eBike
elements from such conditions.
An e-bike is similar to a conventional bicycle, however, it
includes some electronic devices such as the electric motor,
the battery and HMI (remotes and displays etc.) There are
some norms that should be followed in order to prolong the
life span of an electric bicycle and the durability of its
electronic components:
IMPORTANTE
- Do not immerse electronic components in water
and do not wash them using washing machines. If you
use water pressure systems it is important that you take
out the battery (if removable) and control devices,
such as remotes and displays; these should not be
washed with water pressure under any circumstance.
- Do not leave the eBike parked outside in Winter
in extreme weather conditions. The remote is designed
to prevent water ingress in its internal structure, but this
design can be endangered if we subject it to poor
weather conditions or low temperatures during long
periods of time.
- Do not leave the control systems or the iWoc®
remote in rain or snow for long periods of time.
- Withdraw and protect remotes, displays and
batteries if you transport the electric bicycle by
attaching it to the exterior of the car. Failing to do so,
especially in poor weather conditions, could increase
the risk of breaking its protection from water.
- Maintain the buttons and points of contact clean
from dust and dirt. If one of the components breaks,
ask your supplier to replace it with another original
part. The suppliers of the bicycle manufacturers who
have the ebikemotion® components are the only
persons authorized to install the components and
activate them through the Dealer APP.
- You should not insert any types of metallic contact
in the places of battery connection, it can cause a
power cut.
- The battery should not hit any surface. If the
outside cover of the battery breaks you should contact
the technical service of its brand in order to change
the casing.
- After 500 charging cycles the capacity of the
battery can drop by around 20%
- The lithium doesn´t have memory, for this reason
it can be charged when battery level drops to 50%.
Remember that the batteries should be charged once
every two months.

The WEB USER DASHBOARD is a website designed by the
ebikemotion software development team, offering all the
information on the mobile applications and user activities, in
some cases supplementing them with other services which
are available only through WEB browsers.
The WEB USER DASHBOARD enables the user to see in
detail the routes they have travelled; he can manage them,
share them and add new routes or fill in additional
information.
Additionally, the webpage is an interconnected element
between the system of ebikemotion® bike lanes and the
STRAVA bike lanes in a way that it is mandatory to connect
the two platforms from the WEB DASHBOARD on the user
profile settings page.
Moreover, the user will be able to access detailed
information on the condition of their eBike and they will be
informed of any communications campaign that the
manufacturers launch, according to the user´s eBike model
or its condition.
3.1 Intended Use
The following are the most important functions of WEB
DASHBOARD
- Modifying user profile data, including:
- Passwords, photographs, weight and
connection data with STRAVA™

3.4 Functions
3.2 Compatible Systems
3.3 Minimum Requirements to W. DASH
3. Product Description
IMPORTANT
The WEB DASHBOARD is the same as the ebikemotion
mobile application, for smartphones it is an application
that is designed and intended for both conventional
bicycles as well as electric bicycles (can be compatible or
not compatible with our system). Download the APP, use
it and enjoy it.
Page 7
Welcome to the ebikemotion® platform. Before going into
detail on what WEB USER DASHBOARD is, we believe that
it is important to explain to you what ebikemotion® is about.
Ebikemotion® Technologies is an engineering company with
headquarters in Palencia. Its main activity is the design and
manufacture of electronic components for the electric bike
sector. Our technology and standards are exceptional due
to our background in the automotive sector. Our company
also forms part of an important automobile corporate
group, mainly the electric vehicle sector.
The knowledge that we have acquired over the years
enabled us to apply the same technology that is applied to
cars, to electric bicycles, improving their performance and
capabilities of interaction with users.
Within the device platform, one of the fundamental pillars
that ebikemotion technologies has created is the eBike
application. In contrast with other sports applications that
are on the market, the ebikemotion® APP has been
designed to be used exclusively with BICYCLES, BOTH
ELECTRIC AND CONVENTIONAL.
The ebikemotion® WEB and Smartphone applications are
free and enable you to have complete tools in just one
application; with activity monitoring, fantastic history record
of each route travelled. At the same time, it will enable you
to combine all of this information with the data of your
electric bicycle (if it is compatible with our system and
accessories).
Among many characteristics of this mobile application, as
for example its compatibility with the heart rate monitor or
with the STRAVA™ sports platform, there are also functions
from web environments, that are also designed to be used
from you mobile(browser) or from your tablet or personal
computer.
This manual is a basic comprehension document explaining
the functions to which you will have access when you
connect to the especially designed web page, where you
will be able to view your activity details, eBike state and
personal information.
4.1 What is Web User Dashboard
4. General Overview
IMPORTANT
Remember that you can register in the system through
the WEB DASHBOARD (via Web page) or from the END
USER APP itself. The user is the same for both platforms,
so you will not have to create a user on each site.

When a bicycle is manufactured, the manufacturer registers
its serial number and all its components in the Cloud, which
is like a system on the internet where all our eBike data can
be found. When this eBike is made, we set it in a special
mode called TRANSPORT MODE or DEMO MODE.
When this eBike arrives at the shop it is in the DEMO
MODE, this means it can only travel 50km. After the client
collects their eBike it is important that it is ACTIVATED, to
carry out the process of activation, you have to make a
Dealer APP connection, make a diagnosis and activate, all
this consists of pressing a two buttons.
The activation process is made when the bicycle is sold. The
guarantee is considered to take effect from the moment the
bike is activated.
If a bicycle is not activated the remote control will flash
constantly in GREEN and if the first 50km have been
travelled it will not allow to change the assistance level,
staying forever in the NEUTRAL MODE.
Once on the webpage remember that you should register
as a user if you still are not an active user (through
ebikemotion® of Facebook®), indicate your username and
password if have registered with ebikemotion® before or
press the Facebook® button if you wish to use you
Facebook® user account.
If you do not do any activities on the web page you will be
signed out automatically after 10 minutes and you will be
asked to introduce your account details again.

The web zone can be customized by brand. It is the user
who decides which customization is the one that you want to
use of the available customizations. In order for the image
and style of the web site to be personalized, it is vital that
the brand is an ebikemotion customer. Normally in this case
the manufacturer itself will provide an access address to the
WEB ZONE or USER DASHBOARD.
There are various ways of accessing the WEB
DASHBOARD. The first one of them is using the
ebikemotion® general website address:

The WEB application detects the language configuartion
on your browsing device automatically and changes the
language on the application to the same one. However, it is
possible to change the language manually in the
application´s user settings. To be able to make this change,
you should go to the profile settings option in your profile,
clicking on My Profile option in the main menu.
The system will show a table with the available languages.
Press a language and the system will from now on save your
language preferences for this device, for the WEB
DASHBOARD.
Check on the Internet the available languages for the
application, which are:
- Spanish(Spain)
- German
- English (United Kingdom). This language is set by default
if the language configured on your phone does not exist on
the system or if one of the system´s languages is not
loaded.
The application has been launched in English and more
languages will be added, such as, French and Italian. Other
languages will be available shortly.
The metric and imperial systems of measurement are
included in the ebikemotion® APP. In the same way the
measurement units are available on the mobile APP, on the
APP Web you can access the settings from your personal
computer to see the type of measurement used; on the APP
itself there are no options to choose the system of
measurement, it can only be changed from your computer.
Remember that some regions already have a measurement
system assigned by default, for example, in Spain it ids
Metric and in United States it is Imperial.

6. The WEB DashBoard
The CONTROL PANEL-l¡¡L (WEB Dashboard) is a private
area for users, it can be accessed using any internet
browser. You can use your Smartphone, computer or tablet
to enter this area. The Web Area is designed in a way so
that is can be seen perfectly from any device,
independently of its screen size. This new area will allow you
to view information on your activities; you will be able to edit
them, analyze them and share them with users who are
using the activity area of the mobile APP.
Some important information can only be accessed through
the WEB AREA and some functions only work in this area,
which is why we recommend you get familiar with it.
The WEB AREA, is a tool that each brand uses to share data
and information in a way that when you share a route the
user that receives it will see this area.
The Main Manu shows all the links to the options that are
currently enabled in the área. New options can appear with
time, promotions, access to exclusive accessories for our
clients and an online store, etc.
The elements of the Main Menu are:
· My Profile
Modification of basic user information
(synchronized with the APP):
· Control Panel
Report of activites
· Routes and Trips
List of activities, finder, editing tools
· Events calendar
Planning of events and activites
· Auxiliar Information
Manual language configuration and data access
· Documentation
Manuals in PDF format and documets published by
ebikemotion® and manufacturers
6.1 Main Menu
Main Menu
Main Menu Location
Remember that you can always access through a Brand
that is authorized by ebikemotion®. In this case, the brand
will provide a link for you through which you will be able to
enter into the system, which can normally be found on their
website.
When you access through a brand, in the top left corner of
the screen you can find the LOGO of the brand. Screen
background, style, fonts, colors, links with extensive technical
information, etc. are controlled by the brand. The content,
however, is the same.
The user profile contains information about you. This
information is private and is used to make optimized
calculations in the APP such as your calorie intake which is
shown in the activity report or in the maximum
recommended pulse, or for example, your synchronization
preferences of your activities with STRAVA™. To modify
personal data, you can click on the link (My Profile) together
with you photo in the top left part of the main menu.
The form itself will tell you how to modify some of your
information. You can change your photo if you have used the
user ebikemotion® system. If you are using the Facebook®
user system you will have to change the profile photo on
your Facebook®, so that it automatically updates here.
6.2 My Profile
User Profile Settings Page
Page 13
6.1.1 Branding Customization
REMEMBER
the username and the password, as well as the
identification system that you have used in the APP is
EXACTLY THE SAME as using WEB AREA. So, if you
have used the Facebook® APP to identify yourself as a
user, you should use Facebook® here as well.
The information you can edit in your profile are:
· Profile Photo
· Name
· Surname
· Gender
· Date of Birth
· Weight
· Height
· Link to STRAVA™ -> Automatic synchronization and
login in their website.
This information is exactly the same to the information you
have on your APP and it stays synchronized automatically
between the APP and the WEB AREA. The only difference is
the Type of Unit for the WEB, by default is Metric and
Celsius, but user can change this value for the WEB Session.
· Unit for Distance in the WEB (Metric / Imperial)
· Unit for Temperature (Celsius of Fahrenheit)
The control panel is a display with an informative report on
all your activities. It will show you the total data of all the
activities related to distance, type, calories, rise and fall (by
default of all your activities).
The control panel allows you to get a clear idea of the pace
of your activities just at one glance (always and when you
have saved them). Additionally, the panel groups by default
other types of auxiliary information, such as the features and
state of the eBike (if you have it), the friends that are
connected t the platform, your activities and a calendar to
organize yourself.
The following are the elements that form part of the control
panel:
6.3 Control Panel
This tool offers the user a clear and concise image of their
activity in a given period of time. The activity report has two
important elements:
- Total data:
The upper area provides data on distance, time,
calories, etc. of the data represented in the second
area (the graph area)
- Activity time line
This graph with coordinates shows your latest
activities. Time is on the X-axis and Y-axis is the
distance travelled. Each one of the columns
represents a sum of the distance travelled in one
day. If you have done two activities during one
day, the system will show you the number of
activities and data from each one. If you want to
see a list of all your activities in a day, instead of
searching for them in the browser, simply click on
that day to open a list of all the activities.
On the TIME LINE there is a number of TOOLS, that allow to
LIMIT the time, using predefined periods, such as weeks,
months, trimesters, years, etc. However, you can also select
with the mouse an area on the graph to analyze only the
activities that are found within the selected part of the time
line. This function is very simple, just click on a point on the
bar and drag the mouse to a point that you want to analyze
on the X-axis. The total will recalculate automatically.
All information that can be read from the graph can be
downloaded in a number

6.3.1 General Activity Report
The calendar is a resource used to see the created events
and those that you have invited other users to join. The
system will notify you of the place of the event and of who is
invited. By default, on the control panel you can see the
events taking place that month and also a list of activities
ordered on the calendar according to date.
This is one of the MOST IMPORTANT TOOLS IN THE WEB
AREA. This list is updated automatically each time you switch
off your eBike and shows you a review on the state of all the
elements that you have in your bicycle. Also, if you have the
model of a concrete bike, you can select it form the list of
models that we show you automatically.
You will see the date of activation and sale in the store, if the
guarantee on equipment is still in effect and the state of the
equipment and the error log MAP licence status. Also, if you
have various eBikes you can change between them to see
the state of each one individually
Friends are those people who are currently registered in the
ebikemotion® platform and WHO ARE YOUR FIRIENDS ON
FACEBOOK®, you can invite your Friends automatically to
any event from your calendar. Remember that when you
publish a route, you can also choose to only make it visible to
your friends.
They are mobile terminals that you have used to connect
with the ebikemotion system. We show you the model, the
brand and the operator used.
From the Dashboard you will have the most complete information of your ebike and all the electronic components that integrate it

6.3.5 User Devices
- Last Location
Each time that ebike is connected to the Smatphone and the
Smartphone has a valid GPS position, when the
smartphone is disconnected it sends the last valid GPS
position of the ebikemotion Server. By that way the server
and APP archives the GPS position and it is possible to
recover in the Web User Dashboard. When this position is
available in the ebikemotion servers, appears a new TAB
[Last Location]. If the user press on that, system shows a map
with the GPS POSSTION in the MAP, TIME and DATE.
- Statuses-licenses
The Map Licenses system tell to the user if there is any valid
MAP subscription to the ebikemotion map server. When you
press this tab you will see the user that is the owner of the
map licenses associated to the current eBike, period of time
and continent subscripted.
- Error-Log
Each time that the user disconnect of the eBike the last error
in session (if any error occurs) is sent to the ebikemotion
Server. The error is archived in the server and the system
shows detailed information about if there is any error or not.
With the error list will appear, date and time, total odometer
value when the error appears and the map with the
position (GPS coordinates) of this error.
You can check a lot of information of you eBike system that is
archived in the Server. By this way you do not need to be
connected to your eBike for checking status of systems, map
licenses, etc.
The information that you can get of your ebike is grouped
and accessible by TABs organized in this way.
- Devices
This is a complete list of all electronic parts that your eBike
includes. These parts can be produced by eBikemotion or A
third Company. The eBikemotion parts are automatically
assigned during the production or when the dealer replace
any damaged part. The other ones are assigned directly by
the Manufacturer or its network.
- Users
All the users that have been connected to the eBike and
have completed and archived and activity will be
associated to the eBike as users. Users TAB will show a list of
all of them. It is not possible to access to the user information,
but is possible to see the user nick, gender, language and
email.
6.4 eBike Information Sheet
From the Dashboard you will have the most complete information of your ebike last possition, users, log error, etc

7. My Profile
We have seen that the user profile has information about
you. In this section we will explain in detail how to edit this
information and how does the automatic synchronization
system work between the ebikemotion® activities and
STRAVA™ activities, since you can only make this
configuration through the WEB
To modify you personal data Access the option My Profile,
which is found in the upper left part of the screen. You will see
a form in which the system will enable you to modify your
name, surname, email, gender, height, etc.
Personal data are used to identify the user and to
communicate with them in case it was necessary for some
services, such as the localization service, in case the bicycle
was stolen.
The age, weight, gender and height are used to calculate
optimal body mass as well as maximum heartbeat that you
should have in general during all parts of exercise. With this
information we are able to offer a clear view of your own
exercise areas and warn you about overstrain. In the case of
you having an ebikemotion compatible eBike and you will
use the automatic synchronization system based on the
effort, these data may be of great use. You can leave the
health data in blank if cardiac and effort information does
not interest you, as well as calorie calculations that we make
on the basis of whether you use your eBike or not.
Each time you fill these information, remember that you will
have to press the lower button [update profile]. We will send
you the data to the server which will also be in charge of
synchronizing this information with your mobile application.
STRAVA™ is an application for mobile phones and the web, to
be able to trace your sporting activities via GPS. The
company is situated in San Francisco, California. The two
types of sports in which it is most used is Cycling and
Athletics. In March 2015, it was estimated that there were
1M active users and 200K Premium users.
In reality, one of the major attractions of STRAVA is that the
application offers ranking, comparing the time it takes you to
travel a particular route to that of other users and this is
done in an automatic way. The competition aspect, without
the need of all users having to run/cycle at the same time,
made it one of the most useful applications.
Therefore, all revolves around these wonderful segments
that enable athletes to become the KOM (King of the
Mountain) or QOM (Queen of the Mountain), respectively.
The ebikemotion® APP platform and STRAVA™ can be
synchronized and it is in the user PROFILE of the WEB AREA,
that the user can establish a connection. Both platforms
support activities with electric and conventional bicycles.
The difference between both is that ebikemotion® knows of
the activities you are doing with your electric bicycle if you
have it connected to your application and with STRAVA™ we
do not have this information and we have to trust in what the
user sets.

7.2.2 Upload routes to STRAVA™ automatically
7.2.1 Identifying yourself in STRAVA™
There are some important characteristics related to
STRAVA™ and ebikemotion® that you should know about:
- If you have STRAVA™ user account, remember that
you can login with STRAVA™ form the control panel from your
account on your ebikemotion profile.
- You can send you activities to STRAVA
automatically if you wish to do so (one by one or all of them
from the moment that you synchronize the accounts)
- You can see all the STRAVA segments in detail, on
both the ebikemotion web application as well as the END
USER mobile application.
- If you have travelled a route with an ebikemotion
compatible eBike and you have your application
connected, we will show that you have completed your
activity using an electric bicycle, but if your electric bicycle is
not connected to the mobile application we will consider
your activity as if it was travelled on a conventional bicycle.
The first thing you need is STRAVA user account. If you do not
have an account, you will have to create it in your web page
or in the mobile application after which you have to take the
following steps:
1.- Enter the ebikemotion® WEB AREA that each of the
manufacturers have prepared for you:
orbea.ebikemotion.com
legend.ebikemotion.com
desiknio.ebikemotion.com
2.- Identify yourself with your ebikemotion® user account
3.- Select the My Profile option in the upper left of the
brand´s logo.
4.- Press the button [Connect with STRAVA™] on your profile
record
This function will automatically upload in STRAVA™ the routes
that you have travelled in with ebikemotion®. This function is
quite interesting if you are a STRAVA™ user, since you would
not need to take the STRAVA™ application, you would only
have to use ebikemotion® to travel a route, which would
later be uploaded by ebikemotion® without having to do
anything. It is a good way of saving your mobile battery
during sporting activities. In this way you could have the
same information on your ebikemotion® server that you
have on STRAVA™.
If you do not have this function activated and which to
upload routes automatically you should follow this process in
the Web Area.
1.- Enter the ebikemotion® WEB area that each of the
manufacturers has prepared for you, some examples of
access routes are:
legend.ebikemotion.com
desiknio.ebikemotion.com
2.- Login with you ebikemotion® user account
3.- Select My Profile option in the upper left area, under the
logo of the brand.
4.- 4.- Press the button [Upload Activities to STRAVA™
automatically] on your profile record
5.- Update your profile.
5.- The system will take you automatically to the official
STRAVA™ website to give you your Access data.
6.- STRAVA™ will ask you if you want to authorize
ebikemotion® to upload STRAVA™ routes in your name.
7.- Press accept
When you press [Accept] we create a link between your
STRAVA™ account and your ebikemotion® account and it
stays archived in the system.
You can disconnect your ebikemotion® account from your
STRAVA™ account, when you wish to do so from [My Profile] in
the ebikemotion® Web Area. You can connect and
disconnect accounts as many time you want. Once shared,
the information will not be lost.

REMEMBER
Remember that when you see in the mobile
application or the web application, the STRAVA
logotype we will be informed of the activity linked to
the segment platform.
Page 18
If you wish to choose which of your activities are uploaded
to STRAVA™, you will have to do it manually. This type of a
solution is typical when you want to have more control over
what is uploaded to STRAVA™, especially when you are
using eBikes. In this case you will have to go to the Web Area
and follow these instructions to upload a route to STRAVA™
manually.
1.- Enter the ebikemotion® WEB area that each of the
manufacturers has prepared for you, some examples of
Access routes are:
orbea.ebikemotion.com
legend.ebikemotion.com
desiknio.ebikemotion.com
2.-Login with your ebikemotion® user account
3.- Select the “Activities” option in main menu. Find the
activity that you wish to upload and press on its file in order
to open it.
a.- If the activity loaded to STRAVA™ you will see its
icon in the list of routes.
b.- If the activity has not loaded to STRAVA™ you will
not see its icon on the list and when accessing its file and
information, the system will display the EXPORT option ans
the “Send to STRAVA™” function. If you press the option, the
system will send the route to your STRAVA™ account.
When your route is linked, you could see the data of STRAVA
in your route file in the Web Area and in your mobile
application.
The segment leaderboard is one of the most important
characteristics and the cause of users' competitiveness. The
STRAVA™ users are responsible of loading the content that
maintains the system alive, the board expects that they
contribute in a positive way by loading coherent data and
under the guidelines defined by the brand. If the users do
not follow the defined guidelines by the STRAVA™ Brand
when loading their routes, STRAVA™ can take measures
against that user account.
To safeguard the segment leaderboard and its integrity,
ebikemotion® will indicate Electric Bicycle activities. If the
bicycle is not connected, the route will be uploaded as
conventional. Remember that does not inhibit you from using
your eBike and the application but without establishing a
Bluetooth connection between them. As a result, you can be
made leader of a segment in unequal conditions.
Remember that you can always change the route type in
the in the STRAVA™ activity control system.

Remember that the sessions have a determined working
period. When the server ddetects that there is no activity in
the Web Area during more than 5 or 10 minutes, you are
signed out from your account automatically; to continue, you
will have to sign in again, by introducing your email and
password. For security reasons, we have left two additional
points that allow you to close your user session, especially
when you are checking data on a computer that is not yours
or that is common
On the right of the status bar you can find an option to sign
out from your current session. Press on the sign out icon or on
the link [End Session], that appears on the upper right in the
Web Area
In the main menu you can also find a sign out option. To end
your session, you should press on [My Profile] option and
later on the submenu [End Session].

8. Activities
From the ACTIVITIES menu, you will have Access to all the
route information that you have done and saved using your
ebikemotion® mobile application. The activities can be
yours, of your friends or other users (that you have shared
with).
From this option you will have Access to:
- Search and view Activities
- Import activities from other systems
All the activities are stored in the main ebikemotion® server
and they can be accessed from the application as well as
the Zone Area. Remember that when you end an activity
and save it , a series of intermediate calculations are
carried out during the sending process for example the
recalculation of calories or the altimetry's of rise and fall. This
type of calculations can take some time, depending on the
workload of the server.
If the system finds that there has been a change in some of
the route data and you have the route saved on your
Smartphone, you will know that changes have been made
to it, because when you Access the route to check its details
you will see that it has been updated.
The activity table groups them into three big groups:
- My Activities
Represents all the routes that you have travelled using
ebikemotion® and that you have saved in the server. These
are your routes.
- Friends' Activities
Displays a list of routes that have been travelled by your
FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK®, if they have saved it as a route
that is accessible to others who are users on “Friends on
Facebook®”
- Public Activities
Represents the routes that all the users have saved as
PUBLIC or which are the same, accessible to all users.
- All
This list shows the routes of the system that you have Access
to as a user, including your friends' routes, the public ones
and your own.
When you Access one of the available routes ordered by
data, showing the most recen tones first. The list of routes
gives a lot of useful information at the time of searching for a
route, such as:
- Degree of difficulty
Established by the user as low, medium and high. In order
to identify the level quickly, each of the levels has a color
assigned to it.
- Name of the route
Text string that the user indicates after completing the
route, in order to identify it Tracking appears automatically
underneath and is calculated by the system on the basis of
the starting point. A clock or an arrow icon also appears as
approval. The clock indicates that this route is in a queue,
waiting to be processed by the server. The approval, means
that the route has been reviewed and contains verified
data (Elevation and route). Remember to indicate a
coherent name to identify yourself easily with your routes in
the searches.
- Date and Time
Indicates the date and time at which the route was
completed.
- Time needed
The time it takes to complete a route in hours and minutes
- Duration in Km
The duration of the route in Km
- Name of the person who completed the route
The author in the system. (Normally the person that
completed it or imported it).
- Type of route
Says if the point of origin and the destination is more
than 500m (lineal route) or if it is less (circular). This data is
calculated automatically.
- Type of Bike
Indicates whether it is a connected electric bicycle
[logotype of ebikemotion®] or a conventional bicycle [ the
ebikemotion® logotype does not appear].
- Synchronization with STRAVA
Indicates if the route is already synchronized with
STRAVA ™.
- Road Type
The type of the road or its condition, that the user
provided after completing the route.
8.1 Activity List
Activity List
Page 20
- Visibility
Indicates the types of users who can see the route.
- Rating
Personal rating that the user has given to a route at the
time of completering it.
IMPORTANT
Remember that all the route information can be changed
at any moment, in the route profile of the Web Area.
Over time the number of your activities in the system will
grow, in such way that it will become more and more difficult
to find a particular activity from the past. To make this task
simpler, we have created an advanced search that allows
to search for routes depending on the values of their
parameters. For this reason, it is very important to complete
the form to be able to have a data base of the
corresponding routes.
As you can see, the list of the routes allows us to search for
the routes directly by their name or date (from/until), but
additionally you can find routes searching for other
paramters. For this press the [+] symbol which appears at the
beginning of the list. The system will show you these
additional search fields:
- Total time
Narrows down to routes whose direction is lower to the
one indicated.
- Distance
Narrows down to the routes whose route is within the
given range.
- Difficulty
Routes with a level that was given.
- Terrain
Routes on terrain that has been indicated.
- Bike Type
Type of bicycle used in the route (Mountain, City, Road)
- Type of Activity
Indicates the points of origin and destination of the route,
more or less 500m (circular, for this last case).
Each type the search criteria are modified, the system
recalculated the routes and shows the updated list again.
The system stores all information at the time of recording an
activity, with the aim of providing the user with information
which he will be able to analyze after completing the route.
All this information has additional calculations in relation to
slopes and points of maximum values, etc. Without any doubt
the system´s data analysis, as it is presented, is one of the
most important and advanced tools in the ebikemotion®
system, that you should not miss out on
Simply, being able to see the data on the screen of our
Tablet or our Computer in a higher resolution, clarity and
size is a luxury that we should not miss out on, since we will
always be limited by the small screen of our mobile.
To be able to view the details of a route Access the list, find
the route that you wish to view. The system will show you all
the route information through a system of tabs which groups
all information in the following way:
- Activity Details
- Maps
- Graphs
- Image Gallery
- Route in STRAVA™
As well as a range of informative tabs, you will also have a
series of tabs that allow us to edit the data of an activity,
export its information to other platforms or share their details
in social networks or by email.
8.2 Searching Activities
8.3 Details of an Activity
Details of the route in one Activity
Page 21
The details of a route show the most important activity
values, grouped into five big information categories:
- Main values
This is a general review that appears in the first row in
the upper área of the deatails. It shows the total time
taken to complete a route, the total distance of the
route, the time and date in which it was completed, if
the route is circular or linear, the level of difficulty,
they type of terrain, the bicycle used and the visibility
of the route.
- Altimetry
Is a review of the most important data collected on
the maximum and minimum altitudes reached as well
as meters that have been accumulated in cycling
upwards and downwards. Additionally, the system
will show the point in the route where maximum slope
of the route has been reached.
- Speed and eBike Data
This information group shows the average velocity
with which the user cycled during the route, the
maximum speed and the elevation at which the user
was at this point, as well as the average time that it
took the user to cycle each of the kilometers. The
complete information with average timing and the
point at which the user reached maximum time.
- Meteorology
The METEO information gives us data on weather
conditions at the time of our trip, they are: maximum
temperature during the activity, average
temperature and minimum temperature, wind speed
in km/h, air humidity and sky conditions.
- Cardio y Health
Offers information on the calories burned while
cycling. If you include a heart rate monitor in your
eBike during your activity, this information will be
much more credible, as it will be supplemented with
average and maximum heartbeat rate.
We will see maps and graphs independently, although
these two functions are connected to each other, as we will
see further on.
The maps can be accessed freely from the web and we will
have the ability to view maps in different types of “displays”.
To change the system's display type you should find an icon
in the upper zone of the map viewer, with a series of layers,
one over another.
Two parameters can be modified on the maps.
- Type of map representation.
- Route information shown on the map.
You can Access maps by pressing on the Graphs and Routes
tab. There is a big difference between viewing a route form
the mobile application and the browser. From the web
browser you can see it with much more clarity and higher
resolution, being able to view the small details of a route,
which are less visible when it comes to the mobile
application.
Define the information detail and the mapping used. The
available types of maps are:
- Predetermined
Shows the main geographic features and the streets and
roads with their names. The detail level is MEDIUM.
- Roads
Similar to the previous map, but it rises the level of detail.
Shows icons with main category information. Additionally, it
shows the driving direction and the traffic lights on all the
roads and streets.
- Bicycle Lanes
This kind of map is very similar to that of roads, but it is
represented with a blue or Brown dotted line, to indicate
specific routes for bicycles (Bicycle lanes).
- Transport
Highlights the routes that are travelled by trucks and
carrier vehicles, so that the user intends to avoid them.
- Landform
This plan type includes the level of curves and their
elevation, as well as elements which can be of interest to
those who practice mountain biking (MTB). These include
trails and tracks, which in this case have a greater
importance.
- Nature
The difference between the landform and nature mode,
is that this mode gives more importance to routes and paths
than geographic features.
- Satellite
The photo mode shows an ORTOPHOTO terrain
satellite.
8.3.1 The Details
8.3.2 Maps
8.3.2.1 Types of Map Representations
Page 22
Define the colors that are used at the time of representing a
route line on the map. The available options for the user are:
- Angle (Global)
This is one of the most interesting options and this is
why it is set by default. It shows the segments of the
routes where the angle is the steepest. The scale of
colors used is:
UPHILL DOWNHILL
Red being the steepest point of slope. Once the
level of the slope starts to lower the colors change
into orange and later blue, until it reaches Green on
even ground
- Slope
Whether positive or negative, the slopes with the
steepest slopes are marked by a color. The steepest
slope is shown in black, turning into red, orange,
Brown, yellow, blue and green.
-Elevation
In the same way that as the rest of the graphs and
taking the maximum and the minimum values of the
route as a point of reference, this kind of graph
represents a series of segments, specifically X being
the highest or lowest elevation:
Red, Orange, Yellow, Lemon Green, Dark Green,
Light Green, Light Blue and Dark Blue
- Speed
The speed of a segment is represented by colored
segments and points. In the same way as in the rest of
the represented values, here, the maximum and
minimum velocity values reached during the trip are
taken as a point of reference. The color code is the
same, as in the previous cases. Red being the
maximum point.
- Heartbeat Rate
Shows the rate of heartbeat along the whole route.
Taking the maximum point as reference (RED) and the
minimum (BLUE). Note: The colors relate to the
maximum and minimum values of the route
8.3.2.2 Route/Map Information
Lines colored are referenced to the maximum and minimum values of the activity
Page 23
When moving with the courser on a map, over each point of
the route, we will be able to see a speech bubble with
additional information on the main values of this point. The
values that we are able to view are the following:
- Instantaneous speed
- Date and time
- Elevation
- Calories consumed up until this point
- Cardiac rhythm
- Slope of the segment
- GPS position Three types of procedures can be carried out on the
graphs:
- Printing
- The system will create a document with an actual view of
the selected graph for its printing
- Download
The system will allow the user to download the selected
graphic image and the section viewed in the formats:
PNG, JPG, PDF y SVG
- Zoom
You can ZOOM on any part of the graph. For that you
have to press on any point, on any graph, do not let go of
the left button of the mouse until you move it to the place
that you want to zoom on. The graph will be resized to fit
the selected section. To reestablish the zoom level, you
only have to click on the REESTABLISH ZOOM button
(which appears automatically when the zoom is on).
The most important route maps and value graphs are
synchronized. Therefore, when the user moves on the graph,
an arrow appears automatically over the track of the route.
This arrow moves in an automatic way over the track,
showing the user on the map where to find that point on the
real track.
If the zoom level on the map impedes you from seeing the
whole window, the map window will move automatically to
show the part of the map that is relevant to the point of the
route.
Just under the maps area we can find a second, very
interesting part; graphs with the most important information
of each of the displayed points. The user can move along
the low data graphs with the mouse pointer. Each time the
user positions the mouse pointer over a point, the system
displays a speech bubble with information emerging from
each of the graphs, IN THE SAME POINT. This function
allows to view the heart rate at one point, for example, and
find details about this data and its value in all graphs, since
all are synchronized What is interesting about this
representation is that the x-axis must always show the
travelled distance and in the y-axis the minimum and
maximum values, in this way it is very easy to see all the
peaks and the valleys
The graphs that have this system are:
- Elevation
Shows on the space line in km the rises and falls in the
route. The pop-up information window shows in this
point km, altitude and slopes.
- Speed
Shows speed point by point.
- Cardiac rhythm
Shows the heartbeat rate point by point
- Cadence
Show the number of pedal cycles that user makes per
minute
- Assistance Level Consumption (eBikes)
Show important data of instantaneous data
consumption and the assistance level that the user
used. On the y-axis (left) you can see the assistance
level and transmission power(watts) on the y-axis
(right)

This function enables the user to upload images from an
activity, provided they are the author. The form for
uploading images is very simple and the only thing you have
to do is to drag the images to its center. Find the images that
you want to upload and using your mouse move the image
to the gallery. Once you have done this, press on the start to
upload button to attach the photos to your route.
Remember that you can delete or update all the images
from the gallery when you wish to. Their visibility will depend
on the visibility that you have set on the route itself.
As you know, the activities can be shared so that they can
be viewed by other users. To share them choose the media
in which you want them to be viewed. The media available
in the WEB Area are the following:
- Facebook®
- Twitter
- Link (To paste in other programs)
Once you have decided where you want to publish a route,
press on the send data option.
Remember that from your mobile phone you can send the
route automatically to all types of applications, such as:
· SMS message
· Email
· Reminders
· WhatsApp
This option will allow you to create a file in the GPX or KLM
format, with points of the route and their values. This file will
allow you to upload them to other platforms or applications.
To carry out this operation, select the route that you wish to
export, press on the upper export option and select the
format. Remember that the GPX format is available in two
versions, the GPX universal format and the GPX compatible
with STRAVA format, which contains additional information
for this platform. Once you have chosen the type of the file,
the system will create and download automatically the file in
this format.
In the same way that routes can be exported, they can also
be imported. The process of importation allows the user to
download the data from another platform and you can
load them in ebikemotion®. For this, you should have a GPX
format file. Once you have the file you can import routes
from the list of routes.
The last option on the right of the list of routes is [IMPORT].
Press on this button and the system will show you a form to
indicate the GPX file where the route that you wish to
upload is. We will verify if the format is the email and we will
proceed to loading the points to the server. The name of the
route will be the name of the file.
You can edit the information about an activity in any
moment. Activity information are synchronized between the
ebikemotion® server and your mobile application, in such
way, that each time you change activity details we will send
you a notification on your mobile in case you wish to
download the route again to view the changes made.
Remember that it is very important to establish coordinates
for the routes. A route can have a name by default, set
automatically on the basis of the hour of the day, if you did
not give a name, type(Morning, evening, night activities etc.)
or a name chosen by you. Remember that it is good for all
your activities to have a name, so that they can be found
easily.
Press on the activity name that you wish to edit in order to
open it in a window. Once in the activity window you can
click on the [EDIT] option. The system will show you all the
data of the activity with the details provided by you. Review
them and save the route by pressing on the [Save] button. If
on the contrary, you wish to delete the route, you should
press on the [DELETE] button.
You also have the option of deleting the link between the
route and its display in STRAVA™.

9. Events Calendar
You can create events, share them with users, make
schedules and link routes and attach photos to them.
Before going into more detail, the most important part is to
understand what an event within the ebikemotion® system
is. As its very name says, an event is an activity that will take
place at a given moment or period of time that other users
can subscribe to in order to participate in them.
Regarding activity, we have both users that can administer
and invite others, as well as users that can subscribe
(participants). Also, the routes that can be travelled within
this event, which can be various.
Clearly, an events calendar is a type of calendar that helps
you sort training activities or any bike rides that you are
planning, letting your FACEBOOK® FRIENDS know about
them.
The events calendar is a
fairly simple tool that can
be used for organizing our
activity and sharing
information with our invited
users from the system. The
events calendar is an ideal
supplement to Facebook®
and also for the activity
system.
As the very name suggests, it is a display in the form of a
calendar that is always positioned on the current month. It
Works like a display and you can see it as a fast creation
tool for events. The display is created in relation to three
main elements:
- A tool for creating events in a fast way
This tool allows the user to select the type of event from
the options available on the list and drag it on a date in
the calendar. In this way, we can create one-day event
of one type. We have to complete the rest of the fields
manually.
- An element for filtering events
To filter events, we have to choose the option filter by
visibility. This type of filter allows you to see events that
only you have access to, your friends or all the users.
- Tool for controlling dates
This tool allows you to select a date, moving between
months and years. You can also access the present day in
a quick way and whether you want to display the
calendar in months, weeks or days.
There are two ways to create an event:
- By pressing on the event creation button that appears
in the top left of the calendar.
- Dragging an event-type panel over a date on the
calendar, in this case the date and type will be filled in
automatically.
When we create an event the following information is
available:
- Starting time and date
The moment in which the event starts. If the event has
activities, each of them can have its date and starting
time.
- Ending tima and date
Moment in which the event ends
- Name of the event
Name that the user gives to the event and that is
displayed on the screen.
- A description of the event
A description of the event with more detailed
information
- Tracking
Information on the point of the event. It does not have to
be the starting point of this activity, because each
activity will have its starting and ending point.
- Description of the Place:
A text string which explains in detail how to reach to
the place of the event.
- Latitude and Longitude
Coordinates. They can be indicated, however, if the
user marked the point on the map, then the
coordinates of the marked point will be viewed.
9.1 The Calendar Display
9.2 Creating an Event
Page 26
Once that we have created an event, the system will give
us the possibility of including additional information about it.
In particular:
- Activities
- Participants
- Images
The activities from the activity data base, can be linked to
an event by the user that created the event. Remember that
they have to be activities of the user himself, or imported but
not of other users. To link the activities, the user has to click
on the tab of the event file “Activities”.
The system will show you a list of activities, ordered in a
descending order. The user only has to find the activity that
they wish to link and press on the [LINK] button. The activity
will be linked to the event.
The activities linked have their own starting date and time
which can be established by the user. To do this, you have to
use the edition button[pencil]. Once the user presses on the
edition button of the date, the system enables you to set the
exact day and time.
You can add as many activities to the event as you wish. If
the user wants to delete one of them, they just have to
[Delete] option, that appears on the right of each of the
activities.
The activities associated with an event are accessible from
the event tab for all users with access to the event.
You can add participants to an event if the event is public or
if created by your friends. Remember that a public event
appears on the panel of all users. Normally, only the brand
can create public events, but this type of customization
depends on the guidelines of the brand. In any case, if the
event is public, any user can take part.
Also, remember that YOU YOURSELF, can add users to an
event, but you can only do it on the condition that these
users are your Friends on Facebook. When you add one of
your friends as a participant of an event, that means you
subscribe them; keep in mind that you can establish the role
a user has in the event:
- Subscriber
Is considered a user with a right to participate or that
has joined the event.
- Administrator
This is your Facebook® friend, whom you give a
permission to invite other users and administer the event.
Administers can discover other users.
An event can have images linked to it. To upload images, you
should use the same approach as when you upload images
of an activity.
Uploading images is very simple and the only thing that you
have to do is to drag the images to the center of the form.
Find the images that you want to upload and move the
image to the gallery using your mouse. Once you complete
this action press the start button to attach the photos to an
event.
You can delete or update all the images in the gallery when
you wish to. Their visibility will depend on the visibility of the
event that you have set up.
9.3 Editing and Deleting an Event
MAP LOCATION SEARCH:
In the left corner of the location map there is a search bar. If
you introduce the chain, the system will look for directions
that match the data introduced, so that the user can find the
place of event on the map.
- Link
Links to addtional information on the event, for example
to a website.
- Type of Event
Tells if the event is a Friends meet up, an organized
bicycle ride or a competition.
- Visibility
Allows to choose the type of users that will be able to see
the event. They can be your Facebook® friends, all users
or just you.
Once you have completed all the data in the user event, you
should press on the [SAVE] button to store the basic
information of the event. When you save the event it
appears in the events calendar.
