5.11 Maintenance (daily)
The machine must be thoroughly cleaned after each shift. If this is not
done then faults caused by soiling can occur during operation.
Oiling must also be performed at regular intervals to maintain the service
life of the machine and achieve the desired seam quality.
5.11.1 Cleaning
Dust and thread residue must be cleaned from the machine each day to
prevent faults during operation. A clean machine provides protection from
faults.
Risk of being cut and stabbed by moving
machine parts.
Serious injuries to any part of the body may occur
if you come into contact with the middle slide, nee-
dle, or other sharp-edged and pointed objects.
ONLY work on the machine if the secure stop
light is lit up.
NEVER reach into the area of sharp-edged parts
during operation.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to flying particles.
Cleaning with compressed air can cause injuries to
the eyes or respiratory organs.
NEVER blow particles towards other persons.
WARNING
Material damage due to incorrect cleaning.
Blowing material or thread residues under the covers can damage
or destroy the machine motors.
NEVER blow material or thread residues under the covers but
rather forwards or to the side.
