SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
General Instructions
Check the trailer and all parts before and after each use. Proper care and
maintenance of the trailer is essential for safety.
When assembling the trailer, make sure that the wheels are correctly and
securely mounted. Inate the tyres to the desired pressure and check the
pressure before each use. Excessive tyre pressure can cause the trailer
to jump or tip over. Only use tyres with road tread and not BMX tread or
knobby tread.
Securely attach the trailer hitch to the bicycle frame. The connector
should be tightened, the securing strap wrapped around the strut or frame
and the securing pin closed.
The person riding the bike should be at least 18 years old and in good
physical condition.
Make sure that the bicycle used with the trailer is in good working order
and has good brakes. Have your bicycle checked for compatibility by a
qualied bicycle mechanic.
If you often drive at dusk or dawn, reectors that comply with road trafc
regulations must be tted to the rear and sides of the trailer.
Be especially careful when turning on uneven road surfaces and driving
downhill.
Do not drive over curbs. Avoid unevenness and holes. Always signal when
you are turning.
Do not ride on motorways, busy roads or in areas that are unsafe for
cycling.
Do not use trailers in snowy or icy conditions.
Do not ride at high speed.
Make sure that the child's body, clothing, shoelaces or toys do not come
into contact with moving parts.
The trailer must not be connected to a machine equipped with a drive
system. The trailer may only be moved by directly applied human power.
The trailer must not be moved by motorised vehicles. This also applies to
bicycles with electric drive or bicycles with auxiliary electric motor drive.
Note: Do not overload the trailer. Position the load as low as possible and
centre it inside the trailer (front to back and left to right). The load must be
secured so that it cannot slip.
