POSSIBLE CAUSE(S) SOLUTION(S)
MY MACHINE IS NOT WORKING – THE LIGHTS ARE OFF AND THE MACHINE
CEASES TO OPERATE:
1. Appliance is not plugged into the
mains.
1.1 Ensure the appliance is plugged into the mains
supply and the socket is switched on.
1.2 Ensure that the Power Switch located on the
back of the machine is in the ‘On’ position.
2. Machine is not switched on.
3. The machine has turned off to
conserve energy.
4. The plug fuse may have failed. 4. Check and replace the plug fuse. Contact Dualit
Customer Services* for help.
5. The safety cut out has activated. 5. Contact Dualit Customer Services* for help.
AFTER FROTHING MILK, MY MILK IS NOT FOAMY:
1. Your milk is not cold or fresh enough. 1. It is easier to make froth using cold semi
skimmed milk in a stainless-steel jug.
2. The Steam Wand is blocked with milk
residue.
2.1 Clean Steam Wand and Nozzle
(see page 21).
2.2 Descale machine (see page 24-28). If you are
unable to unblock your Steam Wand then contact
Dualit Customer Services* for advice.
3. The milk is burning. 3.1 Reduce steam ow with Steam Flow Control
Knob.
3.2. Steam for a shorter period of time.
4. You are trying to froth too much milk. 4/5.1 Your Espresso Machine uses a boiler system,
providing a limited supply of steam. Prime the Boiler
before every steam cycle and only run the Steam
Function for a maximum of 3 minutes. If the steam
stops dispensing you have emptied the boiler. This
will cause permanent damage not covered by your
guarantee.
4/5.2 Ensure the Water Tank is correctly situated
with the Water Tank Pipes in place (see page 11).
5. You have not primed the Boiler.
6. You are not using the Froth Nozzle. 6. Ensure Froth Nozzle is installed. See page 19,
gure 1.
NO HOT WATER OR STEAM/ REDUCED STEAM OUTPUT FROM THE STEAM WAND:
1. All steam has been used. Boiler is
empty.
1. Prime the boiler. See page 19, gure 1. Ensure
the Water Tank is correctly situated with the
Water Tank Pipes in place (see page 11).
