Once you have installed the "StuffIt Expander" on your computer, the contents
of the sit le will be extracted to the "audacity-mac-1.0.0" folder when you
double-click on it. This folder can be found at the same location as the sit le.
3. Continue as follows depending on the type of le:
dmg le
– In the "Applications" directory, create a new folder for "Audacity®" (e. g. with the name
"Audacity").
– Open the drive which then appears in the "Finder" by clicking on it and copy the entire
contents to the folder created previously under "Applications".
– If you want to start "Audacity®" from your "Desktop", make an alias from the applica-
tion: To do this, click on the "Audacity" application le with your right mouse button and
select "Make Alias" from the list. Drag the "Audacity Alias" le which you have created
to your "Desktop". "Audacity®" will start when you double-click on the application
icon

– Exit the drive by clicking on the "Eject" symbol
