8 Appliance8.1 Glass panesThe glass pane of this appliance is to open to allow cleaning of the inside of the pane. Before installing the wood set, adjusting the appliance or maintenance, the glass pane must be removed.3-Avoid damaging the pane during removal/placing.-Use the socket spanner supplied for loosening and tightening the self-tapping screws.-Avoid/remove fingerprints on the glass pane, as they will burn into the glass.8.1.1 Removing the side paneProceed as follows to open the glass pane (see fig. 8-1).3Only open the glass pane if the appliance is turned off and is at room temperature.3Make sure you do not damage the glass pane.1Take the springy glass pane strip at its handles and place it on the higher brackets.1Grab the glass pane at both sides, tilt the top of the glass pane a little away from the appliance and lift up the glass pane at an angle.1Tilt the bottom of the glass pane away from the appliance and remove the glass pane.8.1.2 Removing the front pane/rear pane.Proceed as follows to open the glass pane (see fig. 8-2).3Only open the glass pane if the appliance is turned off and is at room temperature.3Make sure you do not damage the glass pane.1The side pane must be removed first (see section 8.1.1).1If applicable, slide the lower decorative strip away from the appliance. It is not necessary to remove it.1Grab the vertical decorative strip at the top, tilt the vertical decorative strip and remove it.1Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the vertical glass strip and remove the vertical glass strip.1Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the upper glass strip and remove the upper glass strip.1Place the suction cup on the front glass pane.1Grab the glass pane at the suction cup and side and slightly tilt the top away from the appliance.1Tilt the glass pane and move it sideways.1Tilt the bottom of the glass pane away from the appliance and remove the glass pane.8.1.3 Placing the glass paneOnly replace the glass pane once it has been cleaned. Proceed as follows to close the glass pane. Placing the glass pane will take place in reverse order of removing the glass pane, as described in 8.1.1 and 8.1.2 (see fig. 8-1 and 8-2):3-Make sure that the pane frame is free of dirt before the glass pane is placed.-Avoid/remove fingerprints on the glass pane, as they will burn into the glass.-Do not overtighten the self-tapping screws, in order to prevent breaking and/or stripping the thread.-Place the glass pane with the logo in the bottom right corner.3Make sure the front and rear glass pane is in full contact with the side pane (there may be no opening between the panes).If the front, rear and side glass panes do not connect:1Loosen the self-tapping screws of the glass pane's front and rear glass strips by a few turns.1Slide the front and rear glass panes tightly against the side glass pane.3Make sure there is no sealing tape between the front, rear and side panes (where the panes connect).1Tighten the self-tapping screws of the glass strips.Installation manual30
