Important Notices
l Solariums of up to 24 lamps carry an output which is
ready for connection to an independetly protected
socket rated at 230 V AC 50 Hz fitted with a 16 A
protection fuse or circuit breaker.
l Tanning appliances with 26 or 28 lamps are supplied
with a 3 x 2.52 mains cable for hard wiring to 230 V AC
50 HZ isolating switch or outlet. A fuse or circuit breaker
of 20 A must be installed. Installation of a fixed mains
connection must only be carried out by an electrical
fitter who is in possession of the local trade qualification.
l Tanning appliances with more than 28 UV lamps or
with more than one face tanner are supplied with a 3
phase five pin plug for installation to 400 V AC for
purposes of a fixed mains connection.
l Tanning appliances must be fully separated from the
mains by removing the plug from the mains connection,
or by means of the isolation installation, for any work
carried out to the equipment (changing lamps or
starters, or cleaning tasks).
l Repairs may only be carried out to the tanning
appliance by a locally certified electrical fitter or by
client service personnel.
l The tanning appliance must only be installed in a dry
chamber which is protected from spray and water
drops.
l Relative humidity in the air of 70% as well as room
temperature of 28 C must not be exceeded. A higher
room temperature also means an increase in
temperature of the surface on which the body rests,
and under the canopy.
l Air inlets and hot air exit vents for the cooling fans
must not be covered, to avoid overheating of the
tanning appliance.
l In case of fan failure - which results in unusual heating
of the tanning appliance - turn the equipment off
immediately.
l It is possible that lamps will flicker in new installations,
or that moving shadow effects occur. These have no
influence on the tanning performance. Slight
blackening may also become visible at the ends of the
lamps. This does not influence the function of the
tanning appliance or the life expectancy of the lamps.
l Children are not aware of the dangers which may
occur when operating electrical appliances. Children
must therefore never be allowed to operate electrical
appliances without supervision.
l This tanning appliance is not intended for commercial
use for medical purposes.
Interesting facts about tanning
The radiation of the solarium is of an optimal
composition. The special lamps emit a particularly
large amount of mild UV-A tanning rays. This avoids
sunburn, while allowing the skin to tan in the shortest
possible time.
The tanning appliance can only produce its optimal
tanning effect when the normal preconditions are
present which are required for tanning in sunlight. The
radiation of the tanning appliance will have no tanning
effect on people whose skin does not tan in sunlight.
Special Instructions
For installations with a built-in face tanner
-High pressure lamp-
The higher radiation output of a built-in face tanner
results in better tanning than with the normal UV-A
lamp. This higher output provides for intensive tanning
of the facial skin, which also in normal sunlight tans
more slowly than the rest of the skin on the body.
The face tanner can be turned ON " " or OFF "0"
with the switch on the control panel.
