ICLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
· To protect against electrical shock or burns, do not immerse unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
· Failure to maintain this appliance in a clean condition could adversely aect the life of the appliance
and possibly result in a hazardous situation.
IPRODUCT-SPECIFIC WARNINGS
· Place the appliance near a socket, but make sure it is not too close to a water source.
· The working area needs to be heat-resistant, dry and about 75 cm high.
· Since the side of the appliance becomes hot, you need to keep a free space of at least 5 cm around the
unit.
· Make sure the power cord doesn’t come in contact with any hot surfaces. Keep the cord away from
children.
· Make sure the appliance is placed not too close to the edge of the work space and is kept out of reach
of children or persons that are sensitive to heat.
· This appliance may not be placed under a cupboard.
· Don’t move the hot plate when it is still hot or when there are pots on the plate.
· Make sure that the pots are placed centrally on the hot plate and that the handles of pans are
positioned safely.
· Be very careful when using grease or oil during cooking. To prevent overheating, you always need to
supervise during use.
· When you stop cooking turn the thermostat to position “MIN”.
· Remove the plug from the socket.
· Don’t ever leave the appliance unattended when there are children nearby.
· Don’t place the hot plate near ammable materials, such as curtains, to prevent re.
· Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.
· When using the appliance under an extractor hood, make sure to observe the minimal distance
advised by the producer. It is even wiser to double this distance.
· Immediately unplug the appliance if a crack appears and make sure it is controlled by a qualied
competent electrician.
The appliance can become hot during use. Keep the power cord away from hot parts and
don’t cover the appliance.
