• Servies: Alleen microgolfveilig servies. Gebruik geen servies waar barstjes in zijn
of schilfertjes af zijn.
• Glazen kan: Gebruik de kan altijd zonder deksel. Mag alleen gebruikt worden
voor het lichtjes opwarmen. De meeste glazen kannen zijn niet hittebestendig en
kunnen dus barsten.
• Glaswerk: Hittebestendig ovenglaswerk mag gebruikt worden. Let erop dat het
glas geen metalen versiering of metalen onderdelen heeft. Gebruik geen gebarsten
of beschadigd glas.
• Ovenkookzakjes: Volgens de instructies van de fabrikant. Sluit het zakje niet met
een metalen sluiting. Maak gaatjes in het zakje, zodat de stoom kan ontsnappen.
• Plastiek: Alleen plastiek geschikt voor de microgolf. Volg de instructies van
de fabrikant. Op het plastiek moet steeds vermeld staan “microwave safe”.
Sommige plastic containers worden zacht, als het voedsel binnenin warm wordt.
Kookzakjes en dichte zakjes moeten doorprikt worden om de stoom te kunnen
laten ontsnappen.
• Plastic verpakking: Alleen plastiek die mag gebruikt worden in de microgolf.
Kan gebruikt worden voor het afdekken van voedsel, om het voedsel niet te
laten uitdrogen. Zorg er steeds voor dat het plastiek niet in contact komt met het
voedsel.
• Thermometer: Alleen microgolfveilige thermometers.
Materialen die niet mogen gebruikt worden in de microgolf :
• Aluminium schotel: Dit kan vonken veroorzaken. Leg het voedsel op een
microgolfveilige schaal.
• Voedselhouder met metalen handvat: Kan vonken veroorzaken. Leg het voedsel
op een microgolfveilige schaal.
• Keukenmateriaal uit metaal of met metalen afwerking: Metaal schermt het
voedsel af van microgolfenergie. Metalen afwerking kan leiden tot vonken.
• Metalen sluitingen: Kan leiden tot vonken en kan vuur doen ontstaan in de oven.
• Papieren zakken: Kunnen brand doen ontstaan in de oven.
• Schuimplastic: Dit kan smelten of het voedsel in het schuimplastic besmetten
wanneer het blootgesteld wordt aan hoge temperaturen.
• Hout: Hout droogt uit in de microgolf en kan daardoor barsten of splitsen.
