Die Bügeleisensohle kann durch Waschmittelrückstände, durch die Appretur der
Stoffe und Fasern verunreinigt werden und gleitet dann nicht mehr leicht über den
Stoff. Deshalb Bügeleisen nach dem Bügeln mit einem nichtflusenden Lappen
abreiben. Schwer zu entfernende Flecken und Ablagerungen sollten mit einem
Bügeleisen-Reinigerstift behandelt werden.
Auf keinen Fall alkalihaltige Produkte (z.B. Backofenreiniger), scharfe Reinigungs-
mittel, Scheuermittel oder Stahlwolle verwenden.
PFLEGE UND WARTUNG
Das Bügeleisen gleitet nur dann leicht über den Stoff, wenn die Sohle
nicht verschmutzt ist.
Substances contained in fabrics such as cleaning product residues and thread
particles may eventually stain the plate of the iron. So if necessary, after ironing
rub the plate while it is still warm using a good quality cloth (one which does not
leave any traces of fluff) or clean it more thoroughly with an iron-cleaning stick.
Do not use scouring powders, alkalines (as used with ovens), abrasives or steel
wool.
MAINTENANCE
Please make sure that the soleplate is kept clean at all times to
maintain the iron's gliding capacity.

Das elektronische EMC-System kontrolliert den Zustand der Kalkfilter-
Kartusche, indem es fortlaufend die Anteile an Mineral-Elementen in
dem mit der Kartusche gefilterte Wasser mißt. Das EMC-System
erlaubt so, jedes Verkalkungsrisiko zu vermeiden.
Kontrolllampe für das Auswechseln der
Kalkfilter-Kartusche
Wenn die Kalkfilter-Kartusche verbraucht ist, bewirkt das
EMCSystem ein Blinken der Kontrolllampe, um anzuzeigen, daß die
Kartusche ausgewechselt werden muß. Wird die Kalkfilter-Kartusche
nicht ausgewechselt, unterbricht das EMC-System nach einiger Zeit
von selbst die Dampfabgabe.
Um wieder Dampf zu erhalten, muss die Kalkfilter-
Kartusche ausgetauscht werden (oder, falls bisher mit
Leitungswasser gearbeitet wurde, kann kurzzeitig noch
destilliertes Wasser benutzt werden). Nach dem
Austauschen der Kartusche, schalten Sie Ihr Gerät aus
und dann wieder ein, um die normalen
Benutzungsbedingungen wieder zu erlangen

EMC : Electronic mineral control
The electronic EMC system controls the efficiencyof the anti-scale
cartridge by constantly monitoring the mineral content of the filtered
water. The EMC system therefore eliminates any risk of scaling.
Pilot light for anti-scale cartridge change
Pilot light indicating that anti-scale cartridge must be changed.
When the anti-scale cartridge becomes exhausted, the EMC system
activates the warming light telling you that the cartridge must be
changed. If the anti-scale cartridge is not changed, then soon after,
steam generation will be stopped automatically by the EMC system.
The warning light will then remain permanently on.
To produce steam again, either the anti-scale cartridge
must be changed or distilled water must be used. After
changing the cartridge, the unit must be turned off and
on in order to recreate normal operating conditions

The reference number to order anti-scale cartridges for
this irons is 410 057. The anti-scale cartridges are
available in blister-pack from your retailer.
