EMC Electronic Mineral Control
Das elektronische EMC-System kontro l l i e r t den Zustand der
Kalkfilter-Kartusche, indem es fortlaufend die Anteile an Mineral-
Elementen in dem mit der Kartusche gefilterten Wasser misst. Das
EMC-System vermeidet so jegliche Verkalkung.
Lebensdauer -Anzeigenleuchte des Kalkfilters
• Die Anzeigeleuchte B w i r d vom EMC-System automatisch
eingeschaltet.
Anzeigeleuchte blinkt rot: der Kalkfilter muß bald ausgewechselt
werden.
Anzeigeleuchte brennt ununterbrochen rot: Der Reiniger
produziert keinen Dampf mehr. Der Kalkfilter muß unbedingt
ausgetauscht werden.
Austausch des Kalkfilters
• Den Ein-/Ausschalter auf “Aus” stellen, damit die Anzeige-
leuchte B aufhört zu blinken.
• Den Kalkfilter am Anschluß hochheben und austauschen.
• Den Ein-Ausschalter auf “Ein” stellen.
Wichtiger Hinweis: Der Reiniger kann nur mit korrekt im
Wa s s e r tank eingelegtem Kalkfilter funktioniere n . U m
schnell Dampf zu erhalten, wählen Sie die maximale
Dampfabgabe.

The EMC system prevents scaling by continuously measuring the
efficiency of the anti-scale cartridge and monitoring water quality.
Thus the EMC system eradicates any risk of scaling.
The EMC system automatically triggers warning light
• Flashing red lamp B = the anti-scale cartridge will need to be
changed soon.
Continuous red light = the appliance will no longer produce
steam : it is essential to change the anti-scale cartridge, or use
demineralised water.
Changing the anti-scale cartridge
• Press «on/off» button to off position, so that warning light B
stops flashing.
• Change the anti-scale cartridge by lifting as shown
• Press «on/off» button to on position.
The appliance will not function unless the anti-scale
cartridge is properly inserted in the water tank. To
obtain steam rapidly, select maximum steam output.
