listed above, the separation distance can be estimated

using the equation applicable to the respective column,

where P is the maximum output power rating of the

transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter

manufacturer.

NOTE 1 To calculate the recommended safe distance of

transmitters in the frequency range 80 MHz to 2.5 GHz,

an additional factor of 10/3 has been applied to reduce

the probability of disturbance from a mobile/portable

communications device which is inadvertently brought

within the patient area.

NOTE 2 These guidelines may not apply in all situations
