2. Insert battery pack into the charger as
described in the charger section of this manual.
Low Battery Indicator (fi g. 1)
The low battery indicator is an integrated feature in
the headlights (e). It will blink 4 times to indicate that
the battery pack needs to be recharged and the tool
will automatically shut down.
Switch off the tool and take out the battery pack (n)
to charge it as soon as the indicator blinks.
The tool remains non-operational as long as a low
battery pack is attached to it.
Mounting the Belt Hook (fi g. 3)
The belt hook may be attached to either side of the
tool or removed if not desired.
1. Insert the belt hook (f) into the mounting hole on
the side of the tool.
2. Pass the screw (s) through the mounting hole in
the opposite side. Tighten the screw.
Loading the Tool (fi g. 4)
The tool can be loaded using either of the below
methods.
LOAD AND DRAW METHOD (FIG. 4)
1. Insert fasteners into the rear of the magazine (i).
2. Pull nail pusher (h) back until the nail follower
falls behind the nails.
3. Release the pusher.
LOCK AND LOAD METHOD
1. Pull nail pusher (h) back until it locks.
2. Insert fasteners into the rear of the magazine.
3. Push forward on the nail pusher until it releases
and slides forward.
UNLOADING THE TOOL
1. Lock the nail pusher (h) in the back position.
2. Remove the nails from the magazine (i).
Adjusting the Driving Depth (fi g. 5)
Using the depth adjustment wheel, the nail driving
depth can be adjusted to the type of fastener used.
1. To drive the nail shallower, rotate the depth
adjustment wheel (k) counterclockwise. There
are six depth settings, 1 being the shallowest
and 6 being the deepest.
2. To sink a nail deeper, rotate the depth
adjustment wheel (k) clockwise.
Selecting the Mode (fi g. 1)
To select sequential action mode, slide the mode
selector switch (j) to the single nail icon ( ).
To select bump action mode, slide the mode
selector switch (j) to the three nail icon ( ).
Contact Trip Lock-off (fi g. 6)
This tool is equipped with a contact trip lock-off
(l) which prevents the tool from firing a nail.
To engage the contact trip lock-off, push the switch
downward.
To release the contact trip lock-off (l), pull the switch
upward.
WARNING: Make sure the contact trip
lock-off (l) is engaged and the battery
pack is removed before making any
adjustments or when tool is not in
immediate use.
No-mark Tip (fi g. 1)
Place the no-mark tip (m) over the contact trip (b)
when the tool is used on wood.
Store the no-mark tip at the holder (g) whenever it is
not to be used.
WARNING: Make sure the contact trip
lock-off (l) is engaged and the battery
pack is removed before installing or
removing the no-mark tip.
Headlights (fi g. 1)
This tool has headlights (e) located on each side.
The headlights will light upon inserting the battery
pack and upon activating the trigger or releasing the
contact trip. The lights will automatically go off after
10 seconds of non-operation. The headlights also
function as a low battery indicator and a jammed nail
indicator. For further details, refer to Low Battery
Indicator or Clearing a Jammed Nail.
WARNING: The headlights are intended
for lighting the immediate work surface.
Do not use the headlights as the only
light source.
