De AT Pro heeft 12 “notch” discriminatie blokjes en 40 punten van hoge resolutie
ijzer discriminatie. Elke combinatie van in- en uitschakelen van deze blokjes en
punten is mogelijk. Er zijn echter twee basis methodes om uw discriminatie af te
stellen. De eerste methode gebruikt de NOTCH DISC en ELIM druktoetsen om
handmatig de lage balk notch discriminatie in te stellen. Gebruik de + of – Notch
DISC toets om de voorwerpidentificatie cursor naar links of rechts te schuiven en de
gewenste blokjes in te schakelen en de ongewenste blokjes uit te schakelen. Als u
een ongewenst blokje wilt uitschakelen haalt u het blokje eruit en vervolgens drukt u
u op de ELIM druktoets om uw keuze te bevestigen. Voor een volgend blokje
herhaald u dit.
De tweede methode maakt slechts gebruik van de ELIM druktoets. Als u een
ongewenst object lokaliseert tijdens u zoektocht drukt u tijdens het lokaliseren op de
ELIM druktoets. Op het display zal dan het betreffende blokje worden uitgeschakeld.
Deze methode is vooral aan te raden op locaties waar u meermaals een soortgelijk
ongewenst voorwerp gevonden hebt. Deze functie kan ook gebruikt worden voor het
vinden van 1 specifiek voorwerp, bijvoorbeeld om een verloren oorbel op te sporen.
In dit geval scant u de andere oorbel. Vervolgens elimineert u alle andere blokjes
behalve het betreffende blokje en 1 blokje aan beide zijden. Als u nu gaat zoeken zijn
vrijwel alle metalen uitgeschakeld behalve de metaalsoort van uw oorbel. U zult de
oorbel op deze manier eenvoudig terug kunnen vinden.
Ijzer discriminatie
De AT Pro beschikt ook over een hoge ijzer resolutie discriminatie. In plaats van hele
discriminatie blokjes uit te schakelen, zoals het volledige eerste blokje voor ijzer, kunt
u met deze precieze ijzerdiscriminatie ook slechts een gedeelte van ijzersoorten uit
