Checking the magneto supply coil:

sion coil (without spark plug cap):

- Checking the spark plug cap: dis-

connect the spark plug cap from the

secondary cable and measure the

resistance reading between the

ends of the connector: the reading

should be equal to:

5.0 kΩ±15%

- In ignition systems with the HALL

sensor, use the following procedure

to carry out this check (please refer

to the diagram below):

- Using the machine’s own battery

and a few ends of electric cable,

connect the terminals of the battery

direct to the following magneto

cables:

- Connect a tester, selecting the

appropriate scale for continuity /
