Over DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting)

• Omdat het DAB-systeem volledig digitaal is, levert het DAB-systeem zelfs in bewegende objecten een zeer stabiele ontvangst en

kristalhelder geluid op. DAB is een nieuwe vorm van radio waarmee het tevens mogelijk is om aanvullende informatie- en

multimediadiensten te leveren.

• DAB zendt meerdere diensten onder een ensemble uit, die servicecomponenten worden genoemd.

• Elk component bevat bijbehorende programma's; nieuws, muziek, sport en nog veel meer.

• Elk ensemble en servicecomponent is voorzien van een label waarmee de zender en inhoud aan de luisteraar kunnen worden geïdentificeerd.

• Het belangrijkste servicecomponent wordt uitgezonden als primaire dienst en de overige als secondaire diensten.

• Dynamische tekst voorziet in tekstuele informatie; muziektitel, uitvoerende artiest, enz.
